Yesterday I had this in my stories and I’ve decided to also put it on my feed due to all the feedbacks I got. Especially the diaspora from 3rd world countries who told me that they really needed this today.

So I thought I’ll put it here for the once who missed it and others that might still need to hear this.

One of the responses was from a friend who told me that at times it’s like you don’t want to eat just because your brothers and sisters cannot and I realized how many of us struggle with these thoughts and feelings.

How it may seem as if you’re inconsiderate or don’t care for still choosing happiness, for traveling and for still enjoying the good things that’s left in this world.

Again for someone that have lived on both sides, I’m telling you that you’re not. Putting a stop on your happiness won’t solve these problems because I’ve been there.
You’ll just be miserable and the problems will still be there.

What I do is, I take action by praying, donating, volunteering where I can while also making sure I’m doing things that makes me happy.
You need to take care of yourself first before you can take care of others.
