My main goal with my makeup techniques, is to still having you leave with skin like makeup. Makeup that’s you, just elevated a little. I don’t want to change your face or cover you up. I want you to look in the mirror and still recognise yourself, just with a little extra something something!

I think makeup artists have always had to fight a little harder to have what we do taken seriously as an actual career.

And maybe years ago, I thought of it as a bit of a hobby too. Something I loved doing, something I was good at… but a full-time career? I don’t know if I really saw it that way yet.

Now it’s my full-time job.

It pays my bills. It’s taken me to amazing places. I’ve built a business, a brand and a client base around a skill I’ve spent years working on.

There’s a lot more behind being a makeup artist than picking up a brush and making someone look pretty. It’s a business. It takes skill, education, experience, admin, marketing, customer service, long days and a sh*tload of work behind the scenes.

Creative careers are still careers!!
