John Dinon has lived with motor neurone disease (MND) for almost a third of his life, making him one of the longest-surviving people with the progressive neurological condition in Australia.

The Queensland grandfather celebrated his 90th birthday last month, a milestone he and his wife weren't expecting to reach.

"He didn't think he would last that long. No, neither did I," Johanna Dinon said.

A downtown Los Angeles air-taxi hub could become a reality ahead of the 2028 Olympics. 🚁

Archer Aviation and entertainment company AEG have announced plans to develop a vertiport at L.A. LIVE, the sports and entertainment district beside Crypto.com Arena.

The proposed site would become the first announced vertiport in downtown LA and join Archer’s planned network of air-taxi locations across the city.

Archer intends to operate its Midnight eVTOL, a piloted electric aircraft designed to carry up to four passengers. It has 12 electric motors and propellers, a target range of approximately 100 miles and a planned top speed of 150 mph.

The company’s goal is to turn some journeys that take an hour or more by car into 10–20-minute flights. Its proposed Los Angeles network also includes SoFi Stadium, USC and Hollywood Burbank Airport, with Hawthorne Airport serving as a central operating hub.

Archer is the official air-taxi provider for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Team USA.
