On Track Equine

𝘼𝙣 𝙖𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙩 💜

These past two weeks I have had the pleasure of Charlize joining me out on the road. Char is an aspiring therapist and approached me to spend some of her school holidays out working!

Giving Char the opportunity to get out on the road and experience a little of what I do has been extremely rewarding & ‘hopefully’ educational 🤣.

With a genuine interest in becoming a therapist herself, it’s been great to share my work, explain the why behind my treatments and give her a glimpse into the reality of working with different horses and clients.

A huge thank you to all my clients for being so welcoming and accommodating, and for helping make this such a valuable experience for Char.

I love being able to share what I do and help encourage the next generation of equine therapists. 💜

Introducing our Therapist Spotlight for September - Tamarin Smith from On Track Equine

I originally started my studies with Jess at Equestricare to gain knowledge for supporting for my own horse. Once I had gotten further into the course and case studies I thought maybe I could offer services to close friends and relatives for some extra pocket money, of which very quickly became something more among those I knew and On Track Equine was suddenly a big part of my next adventure.

𝑻𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒖𝒔 𝒂 𝒃𝒊𝒕 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒃𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒐 𝒇𝒂𝒓..
I graduated from Equestricare in 2022 and from then on I slowly built up my business and my name among those close to me. A lot of my clients came from word of mouth and this helped to build fantastic relationships & trust. My client base has grown to so much more than I ever expected and I am so grateful.

My business ‘On Track Equine’ was created wholey for my heart horse ‘Honey’. She was the one and only in my world and everything I did was based around her and how I could best support her body and ongoing comfort.

In 2025 I added Kinesiotaping to my modalities thanks to Mel from MELT Lymphatics. Mel has always been a big supporter and mentor for me right from the get go. My first day of the workshop through to now, Mel has always been there for me and that’s been a massive help throughout my journey.

Recently I also added Cryotherapy to my services, thanks to TruCryo & Kaasen Equine. The training I received both in person and online has been paramount to offering this service to my clients.

Among my treatment options I also support my clients with ridden and groundwork lessons to educate on how the horses body works and what we can do as riders to ensure we are giving them the best opportunity to be their best.

All in all my entire ‘career’ is based around helping others. Whether I’m working, competing or supporting at events I just love seeing my clients out and about enjoying their horses.

The one thing I will always say to my clients about their horse is ‘we’re not trying to change them into something they’re not, we are helping them be the best version of themselves’.

I absolutely love educating!

Passing on my knowledge to others, showing and teaching those who want to learn more. This is my thing. I want to help my community of clients feel confident in how to support their horses, not feel silly for asking or wanting to try the stretch with me there.

If I could make a list of the texts messages I’ve received from clients when they’ve successfully completed a stretch they’ve never been able to do, or their horse can finally do that pole exercise they’ve been struggling with, I would have those texts as my daily affirmations. To know I have helped educate even just one owner to understand and apply skills for inbetween sessions - my day is a success in my eyes.

I have 2 very adorable clients for this - Billy & Belle. For those who follow me, they will know these two foals.

I met these little cuties at just 3 weeks old! With the unfortunate circumstances of limb deviations I was recommended by a friend through FB to help treat the deviations with Kinesiotaping.

With the assistance and support from overseas, Christa Veinotte The creator of Hestaband Kinesiotape. We devised a plan of applications on how to best manage these little legs.

Starting in Feb this year with fortnightly applications, to now, Billy has completed his treatments and is completely straightened and sound. Belle with a more severe deviation is in her final stages of our applications.

Giving two foals the chance of a happier future makes me really grateful that I decided to pursue this career and that I’ve been able to add on extra modalities to help in so many ways.

Just do it! It can be daunting looking at the studies or the prac, or the large amount of body workers out there, but it is so worth it. Not only did I learn valuable skills and knowledge and now have a wonderful career, I met so many amazing people and the support network I have is incredible. I can message my mentors and still ask questions or advice and I will always receive a response. If not for a career, do it for your horse. You won’t regret it.

Today I was out to support those who have always supported me. Well done to all of you out there today - kicking goals & enjoying your horses every step of the way 🫶🏻🐎
