I help women master body shape dressing without the overwhelm
If there’s one question I get asked a lot, it’s whether designer bags are actually worth the money.
And honestly? I don’t think there’s one right answer. It comes down to your budget, your lifestyle and what you personally value.
What I have noticed though is that over the last few years, there’s been a real rise in beautiful mid-range brands that are creating incredible bags without the traditional luxury price tag.
Many are still working with skilled artisans, using beautiful leather and quality craftsmanship
The bags in this video are ones I’ve collected over the years. They’re pieces I genuinely reach for, have loved carrying and feel have offered great value for me.
If you’ve been wanting to add a quality bag to your wardrobe but don’t know where to start, hopefully this gives you a few brands to pop on your radar.
And if you’ve discovered any other amazing mid-range bag brand, I’d love to hear it. I’m always adding to my list.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but I always get to this point in winter where my outfits start feeling a little... meh.
Not because I don’t like my winter wardrobe and my clothes. I do.
It’s just weeks of layers upon layers and being cold that I get to this point in the season and I find myself craving a little more colour or personality
Instead of reinventing the whole outfit, I’ll usually add one thing that changes the feel of it, for example a red neck scarf.
Sometimes all a basic outfit needs is a pop of colour. A different texture. An accessory that breaks everything up. It could be a neck scarf, a coloured bag, shoes, earrings or even a knit in a contrasting colour.
I think we often underestimate just how much these smaller styling details can change an outfit. They’re usually the difference between an outfit that’s fine... and one you actually feel great wearing.
Anyway, roll on spring 😂 (i’m well and truly counting down the days)
Things you won’t catch me doing as a personal stylist… telling you that dressing for your natural shape/body shape comes with a set of rules you have to follow.
If you’ve been here a while, you’ll know I talk a lot about the power of dressing your natural shape and proportions. Not to put you in a box of what you can and can’t wear, but to help you understand the why.
Why one silhouette might feel better than another. Why you love one pair of pants but can’t quite put your finger on why another pair feels off. Sometimes it comes down to the rise, the cut, the length or simply the proportions.
For most of my teens and 20s, I barely wore pants because I never felt good in them. Once I understood my own shape and proportions, I started to understand why certain styles worked better for me. Now pants are one of the most worn styles in my wardrobe.
And that’s what I want for you too. Not a list of rules , but an understanding of how to dress your shape that gives you more options, helps you work out why something might not feel right and gives you the tools to tweak it rather than writing off an entire style altogether
When I look at an outfit, I’m never really looking at just one piece. My stylist brain is looking at how everything is working together as a whole.
Think of an outfit a bit like a recipe. You can have a great hero ingredient, but it’s everything you add around it that brings the whole thing together i.e proportions, layers, accessories, contrast, textures and silhouettes etc
Sometimes when an outfit feels a little off or like it’s missing something, it might just need a few more of those ingredients or a couple of little tweaks to bring it all together.

Ok, I know I’m wearing barrel‑leg pants again, surprise, surprise 🙈( The girl can’t deny she loves this silhouette) But believe it or not, tonight’s video is actually a quick demonstration on unexpected colour pairings.
Colour doesn’t need a precise match and nothing in your outfit has to perfectly coordinate. Some of the most interesting outfits come from combinations that feel a little unexpected.
In this look, I literally just played around with colours, no rules. That’s honestly how I approach styling most of the time. There’s room for styling principles, not rules, but the part that matters most when getting dressed is that it feels fun.

A little photo dump of what i’ve been loving lately
(I’ve tagged the brands on each photo, I’ll also link what I can over on my stories)
Just when I thought I was done with The Barrel Leg Project... then these dropped 👀
If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll know this little series started last year because I wanted to provide visual demonstrations showing the variations of the barrel-leg silhouette. As a shape that’s still relatively new to a lot of wardrobes, I wanted to show that they’re definitely not all created equal.
Over the series, I tried reviewed multiple different barrel-leg pants across different brands, price points, washes and silhouettes, so you could actually see how each pair fits and why one style can feel completely different from another.
So naturally, when these landed at I considered it my duty to do a little market research for us all 🤭😂
I’ll be putting them through the same test as the rest. But in the meantime, would you like to see a few different ways I’d style them? 👇

Can we talk about this for a second?
Hear me out on this one...
I’m not saying a signature style is a bad thing. For some people, it’s exactly what works. They know what they love, they stick to it and getting getting dressed becomes second nature.
But I don’t think it should be the goal for everyone.
One of the biggest things I see as a personal stylist is people trying so hard to create a recognisable style that they stop paying attention to what they actually enjoy wearing. They get so caught up in creating an aesthetic that they stop allowing their style to evolve.
The truth is, your personal style develops by experimenting. By trying silhouettes you didn’t think you’d like. By wearing the outfit you’re unsure about. By changing your mind. You’re not going to land on a style that genuinely feels like you by copy and pasting someone else’s.
And you’re allowed to evolve. Your lifestyle changes. Your tastes change. So why shouldn’t your style?
I love seeing people wear their favourite pieces on repeat. I encourage it. I love a wardrobe that works hard for you. But that’s very different from feeling like you can only dress one way.
A signature style is amazing if that’s what naturally works for you. But if chasing one is keeping you stuck, maybe it’s time to give yourself permission to wear what you genuinely enjoy instead.
One outfit formula I always come back to is jeans and a top
Once you’ve found denim you love, you don’t need to reinvent the wheel every time you get dressed. The versatility comes from what you pair back with it.
One thing I’ve noticed as a stylist is that there’s often a gap between the tops we wear day to day and the tops that help us bridge the gap to those slightly more elevated occasions. (This has been a big gap in my wardrobe too)
I’m talking about the lunches, dinners, drinks and celebrations where a really casual top doesn’t quite feel right, but you don’t want to wear i.e dress either.
Having a few tops with texture, interesting necklines, the design details etc can gives your jeans a completely different feel. Suddenly, the same pair of denim works for so many more occasions.
It’s such a simple outfit formula, but it’s one I come back to time and time again because it’s practical, versatile and makes getting dressed that little bit easier.
As always i’m more than happy to share where everything is from. If you’d like the direct links, comment ‘LINK’

One of the things I love most about working as stylist is the variety of work in fashion and the opportunity to connect with so many amazing people.
Some days I’m working with personal styling clients, other days I’m creating content, hosting workshops, styling shoots or contributing to publications. I genuinely love getting to work across so many different parts of the fashion industry.
Some of you might remember that I spent four years editing the fashion pages for GT Magazine. And excited to be back at it for the latest winter edition for the House of Wellness publication The House of Wellness
One of the best parts is connecting readers to brands and pieces that I genuinely think people will love, especially Australian labels. It’s something I’ve always enjoyed about working in editorial.
Now onto the spring edition 🌸
