Todays prescription for stress management: 20 minutes in nature 🌊

12/10/2026

As a naturopath and mental health worker, one thing I know for sure is that mental wellbeing is about so much more than nutrition, exercise, sleep and supplements.

We’re wired for connection. We need to feel seen, heard, understood and like we belong.

And sometimes the things that support our mental health the most are beautifully simple.

A long chat with a friend. A shared laugh. A hug. Spending time with people who make us feel safe enough to be ourselves.

Connection isn’t a luxury. It’s a fundamental human need.

So this Mental Health Month, make time for your people. Check in, reach out, have the conversation, make the plans.

Because sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do for our wellbeing is simply show up for one another 🤎

October is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

And while awareness is important, so is remembering that mental health is something we all have, and something we need to care for every day.

Life can be messy, overwhelming and sometimes really f**cking hard.

You can love your life and still have difficult days. You can be grateful for what you have and still struggle. You can be the person everyone leans on and still need someone to lean on yourself.

And that’s okay.

One of the most powerful things we can do for our mental health is connect. With ourselves, with others and with the people who make us feel safe, seen and supported.

Sometimes it’s the smallest things that make the biggest difference. A conversation, a laugh, a walk with a friend or simply knowing someone is there.

So here’s your reminder to be kind to yourself, check in on your people and ask for help when you need it.

We’re human. We’re not supposed to have it all figured out. And we’re certainly not supposed to do it all alone.

You are so loved 🤎

The secret’s out!

This has been quietly happening behind the scenes for months, and I’m so bloody excited to finally share it.

Kayla Elise Naturopathy is getting a home of her own. 🌿

A space that I get to create from scratch. A space for long chats, cups of tea, herbs… and most importantly, a space where people can come exactly as they are.

There’s a LOT happening between now and November (and currently a lot of furniture in various stages of being painted 😅), but I cannot wait to bring you along for it.

The next chapter starts here. 🤎

New clinic. November 2026.

True wellness is built in the everyday things.

Moving your body in ways you actually enjoy.
Eating enough nourishing food.
Getting outside.
Sleeping well.
Managing stress.
Laughing. Connecting. Playing.

Supplements and herbs can be incredibly useful — but they’re supplemental to the foundations.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your health is simply find more ways to feel good in your body. 🛹☀️

Lets make health fun 🌺

• Makuru •

Welcome to Makuru, the Noongar season of fertility.

We are in the coldest and wettest season of the year, and most of us will be feeling the ‘down and in’ energy.

It is important to keep the internal body warm as the as the surface of the body cools down.

Warming and salty foods are perfect for this time of year as they take energy ‘down and in’ to keep our core warm.

Slow cook and roast your food and avoid raw/cold foods as this will weaken the body.

To read more about how you can support your body during Makuru, pop over to the blog on my website lovelies 🌿

Always striving to balance the work I love
with experiences that bring me joy ✨

In the busyness of life, fun, connection, and joy are often the first things to go — yet they’re the very things that keep us well.

Without them, stress builds.
Overwhelm lingers.
Burnout creeps in.

So this is your reminder —
every day, find one moment of joy.

A coffee in the sun.
A walk outside.
A laugh with someone you love.

Because you don’t burn out from doing too much…
you burn out from never truly switching off.

Share below your little moments of joy lovelies 👇🏼
