Everyone runs their business differently, but these are a few lessons I’ve learnt along the way- some the easy way, and others the hard way.

I’m a big believer in sharing the things I’ve learnt through experience, in the hope that it might help another artist on their journey too. We’re all learning, growing and figuring it out as we go, and if sharing my experience can help even one person, it’s worth it. 💕

I get asked all the time, “Were you just naturally good at lips?” 😂
Absolutely not!
What made the difference for me was learning, taking my time, practising, and most importantly - believing in myself.
So if you’re struggling with lips right now or feeling like you’re lacking confidence, please remember: you’re not behind. We are all on our own journey, and every artist has to start somewhere.
Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep practising. And most importantly, keep believing in yourself. 🤍

Colours I would choose if you left it up to me (which, let’s be honest, most of you already do 😙).
I get asked ALL the time about colours, mixing, and what I would choose, so I thought I’d put it all in one place for you!
Save this for next time you’re stuck, and don’t be afraid to mix, experiment and just GO FOR IT! 🎨
Obviously, you need to understand the fundamentals of colour theory and, most importantly, consider who you’re using it on, but once you’ve got that down, be brave with your colour choices.
Trust your eye, have fun and don’t be afraid to try something different! 🤍

Probably one of my favourite lips of all time!

My client wanted deep, dark and saturated 🫡🤩

I chose 5 colours to create a deep mauve berry but after the first pass I found it too cool toned. So I just changed to pucker berry by ever after ink! This had the coolness and the bright berry that I was after.

I adjusted my technique and shading to give the lip a more saturated look and I did roughly 4 passes all with a 1rl! The biggest thing was to work with the skin- they were thick! So a little bit of aggression and fast speed was necessary to create this.

HEALED DARK LIP NEUTRALISATION
