1 in 5 women will undergo prolapse surgery in their lifetime.

Yet pelvic organ prolapse is still something so many people feel uncomfortable talking about.

Prolapse happens when the pelvic floor muscles and supporting tissues are no longer able to fully support the pelvic organs, which can lead to symptoms like:

• Heaviness or dragging in the va**na
• A bulge sensation
• Pelvic pressure
• Bladder or bowel changes
• Discomfort during exercise or everyday activities

And while prolapse is common, it’s important to know that symptoms are not something you simply have to “put up with.”

Pelvic floor physiotherapy can help support prolapse management through:

✨ Education
✨ Strengthening or relaxation strategies
✨ Pressure management
✨ Exercise guidance
✨ Return-to-sport support
✨ Symptom management strategies

You deserve support, answers, and care that helps you feel confident in your body again 🤍

The pelvic floor experience really does vary by generation 😂🤍

From “we just didn’t talk about it” to pelvic floor TikToks… we’ve come a long way.

But in all seriousness, one thing we love seeing is pelvic health becoming a more open conversation. Symptoms like leaking, pelvic pain, prolapse, painful s*x, constipation, or heaviness are incredibly common but treatable.

Which generation are you and do you feel this is accurate? 👀

POV: your pelvic physio is fully booked, running on caffeine, answering emails between clients… and still reminding you to unclench your jaw and pelvic floor 😂

Recovering from a C-section is a big deal and it’s normal to experience some discomfort, tightness, fatigue or changes in your bowel habits. But some signs shouldn’t be ignored, like severe pain, redness or discharge at the scar, heavy bleeding, fever, or difficulty urinating.

Recovery isn’t just about the scar — it’s about supporting your core, pelvic floor, and overall movement so you feel stronger and more comfortable over time.

Louise at Hug Pelvic Physio can help guide you safely through this process 💚

Our goal: Making support easier to access

Louise often found herself explaining the same techniques to her male patients — especially around post prostate surgery recovery.

So she created a YouTube video they can come back to anytime, helping reinforce what’s been discussed and freeing up appointment time to focus on what matters most.

Confident, supportive care (for everyone 💛)

💚 Asha’s Tip of the Week

Did you know? Full arousal for a woman can take 20–40 minutes ⏳

Rushing intimacy or expecting it to happen “instantly” can create pressure and anxiety. Instead, focus on connection, communication, and enjoying the journey. Your body responds best when it feels relaxed and safe.

Send this to someone who might not know this!

Does vibration affect s*xual pleasure long term?

S*x and intimacy are not about rules, they’re about your body, your comfort, and your experience.
