Your Results Don’t End at the Appointment
After aesthetic treatments, aftercare matters. Following the right recommendations helps support healing, reduce unwanted side effects, and protect your results.
✔ Avoid heat, intense exercise and alcohol for 24–48 hours
✔ Keep the area clean and avoid unnecessary touching
✔ Skip active skincare (retinol, acids) until advised
✔ Stay hydrated and support your skin barrier
✔ Follow your practitioner’s personalised guidance
Every treatment — and every face — is different. Proper aftercare ensures your skin settles beautifully and your results look their best.
Professional treatments deserve professional aftercare.
If you’re unsure, always check in with your practitioner.

Concerned about your skin? You’re not alone.
Crepey skin, age lines, pigmentation and dark circles are some of the most common concerns clients ask about when exploring aesthetic options. These changes can be influenced by factors such as skin quality, volume, lifestyle and the natural ageing process — which is why a personalised approach matters.
At Ruby Leigh Aesthetics, consultations are designed to help you better understand your skin, your facial features and the options available to support skin health and overall balance. With a calm, education-led approach, clients are supported to make informed decisions in a professional, judgement-free environment.
If you’re noticing changes in your skin and would like personalised guidance, book a consultation and take the first step with confidence.

At Ruby Leigh Aesthetics, we believe that feeling comfortable in your own skin is what truly matters. Whether you embrace every line or choose to explore options for treating visible signs of aging, the most important thing is that it’s your personal choice.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to confidence or self-care. Our role is to support you with honest advice, education, and a listening ear—never pressure.

Glowing skin starts at home.
It’s not about complicated routines or chasing trends. Healthy, radiant skin is built through simple, consistent habits that support your skin every day. Understanding your skin type, protecting it from UV damage, and caring for it with intention all play a role in long-term skin health.
At-home skincare lays the foundation, while patience and consistency allow your skin the time it needs to repair, strengthen, and glow naturally. When your routine is right for your skin, results don’t just look better — they last longer.
If you’re unsure where to start, a personalised consultation can help remove the guesswork and set your skin up for long-term confidence.

Every face is unique — from bone structure and proportions to natural movement and skin quality. That’s why a one-size-fits-all approach to aesthetics simply doesn’t work. Facial balancing focuses on understanding the face as a whole, rather than treating individual areas in isolation, helping guide personalised aesthetic discussions that are tailored to you, not trends.
At Ruby Leigh Aesthetics, facial balancing is approached with care, education and attention to detail. This considered approach supports informed decision-making and helps clients feel confident, comfortable and understood when exploring aesthetic options.
If you value a personalised, professional approach to aesthetics, book a consultation and start with understanding your features.

How to Minimise Bruising when booking your treatments:
Here are my top tips to reduce bruising and swelling:
✅ 1️⃣ Avoid alcohol
No alcohol for 24 hours before and after treatment, as it can thin the blood.
✅ 2️⃣ Stop blood-thinning supplements (if safe)
If your doctor agrees, avoid for 3–7 days before treatment:
Fish oil / Omega-3
Vitamin E
Garlic supplements
Ginkgo biloba
Turmeric
Aspirin / Ibuprofen (unless prescribed)
✅ 3️⃣ Consider Arnica or Bromelain
Arnica cream may help some clients reduce bruising.
✅ 4️⃣ Come makeup-free
This keeps the skin clean and reduces irritation
✅ 5️⃣ Use cold compresses
After treatment, gently apply a cool compress for 5–10 minutes at a time.
Avoid ice directly on the skin.
✅ 6️⃣ Avoid strenuous exercise
No gym, saunas, or hot yoga for 24–48 hours.
✅ 7️⃣ Keep your head elevated
Sleep slightly propped up on pillows the first night.
✅ 8️⃣ Don’t touch or massage the area
Unless your practitioner instructs you to.
✅ 9️⃣ Plan around social events
If you’re preparing for a special occasion, book your treatment at least 2 weeks in advance.
Mild bruising and swelling are normal and usually settle within 5–10 days.
✅ When to Contact Your Practitioner
Whats not considered normal:
Severe pain, White or mottled skin, Blistering or Excessive swelling beyond normal
Always contact your clinic if you have concerns.

The Frontalis Muscle: Your frontalis muscle sits across your forehead and lifts your eyebrows when you express surprise or curiosity.
How it causes wrinkles:
When this muscle contracts over and over, it creates horizontal forehead lines. Over time, these lines can become permanent as the skin loses collagen and elasticity.
Fun fact:
The frontalis works against other muscles (like the frown muscles) that pull the brows down, this balance shapes your natural expressions.
All treatments carry risks and results may vary for each individual.
