This is the kind of message that makes it all worth it 🥹❤️
Unfortunately, with picking up the new car this weekend, we weren’t able to make it along to Yogi’s debut dressage day as planned — but receiving this amazing feedback was almost just as good!
Last weekend, these two gorgeous ponies were out there doing what they love with their little riders. 🥰
Six months ago, Tessa was struggling significantly with lameness — and last weekend she was able to compete in every class and even surprise everyone with a canter! 🥹
Navajo was also absolutely thriving, confidently taking on the jumping and sporting events with ease.
And the best part? Both ponies finished the weekend happy, comfortable and without any lameness. ❤️
There is something incredibly rewarding about seeing horses I’ve worked with not only improve, but get back out there doing what they love with the kids who adore them.
For me, the goal has never just been about getting through a treatment session. It’s about helping horses move more comfortably, supporting them through their rehabilitation and maintenance, and giving them the best chance to keep enjoying their jobs for years to come.
Messages like this mean more than people probably realise. 🥰
A massive congratulations to these two little riders and their ponies — this is what it’s all about. 🐴❤️
Thank you so much for trusting Breeze Equine Sports Therapy to be a little part of their journey. xx

Breeze Equine Sports Therapy is officially welcoming new clients again! 🤎
For quite some time I made the difficult decision to stop accepting new clients, simply because my books were full and I wanted to ensure my existing clients continued to receive the time and attention they deserved.
After some changes to my schedule (working more weekends like a crazy person 🤪), I now have limited availability for new clients throughout Central Queensland.
🐴 Why choose Breeze Equine Sports Therapy?
I believe treatment should never be a “one size fits all” approach. Every horse is assessed as an individual, with treatment tailored to what that horse needs on the day.
My background combines hands-on therapy with extensive study in anatomy, biomechanics and movement, allowing me to look beyond where pain or tension presents and consider why it may have developed in the first place.
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science
• Qualified Animal Thermographer
• Certified Equine Myofunctional Therapist
• Certified Equine Kinesiology Taping Practitioner
• Over 20 years experience
This knowledge allows me to understand how the body moves as a whole—how compensation patterns develop, how one area can overload another, and why addressing the underlying cause is often just as important as treating the symptoms.
Services available include:
🔹 Sports & Deep Tissue Massage
Targeted soft tissue treatment designed specifically for your horse’s individual needs works to reduce muscle tension and pain, improve flexibility and mobility, encourage better recovery and support performance and overall quality of life. With some clients even claiming their horses weight and overall condition improved post treatment!
🔹 Cold Laser Therapy
One of my favourite treatment tools. Cold laser is fantastic for reducing inflammation and swelling, encouraging tissue healing, assisting tendon and ligament injuries, wound healing and improving recovery on a deeper level.
🔹 Thermal Imaging (suitable for all animals great and small)
A non-invasive assessment tool that identifies abnormal heat patterns associated with inflammation, altered loading and compensatory movement. Thermal imaging is an excellent way to monitor changes over time and can help guide where further assessment may be beneficial.
🔹 Kinesiology Taping
Used to assist circulation, lymphatic drainage, proprioception, postural support and muscle function while allowing your horse to continue moving naturally.
🔹 Lameness & Movement Assessment
Using modern gait analysis technology alongside clinical observation, I assess your horse’s movement to identify subtle asymmetries, compensation patterns and biomechanical changes that may not always be obvious to the naked eye.
🔹 Saddle Fit Assessments
While I am not a saddle fitter, I can assess whether your current saddle appears to be influencing your horse’s posture, movement or comfort, helping determine whether referral to a qualified saddle fitter may be warranted.
My goal isn’t simply to provide a massage and leave—it’s to help owners better understand their horse, educate them on what I’m seeing, and work alongside veterinarians, farriers, dentists, saddle fitters and trainers to achieve the best possible outcome for every horse.
⭐ I am incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of my clients. The majority of my business comes from repeat clients and word-of-mouth recommendations, something I am extremely proud of.
Whether you have a performance horse, pleasure horse, young horse or retiree, every horse deserves to move comfortably and perform at their best.
📍Mobile service throughout Central Queensland.
📩 If you’ve been waiting to book in, now is the perfect opportunity. Send the page a message to discuss your horse or arrange an appointment before the available spots fill again!

Australia Wide 🇦🇺 Affordable thermal Imaging for all animals with a special interest in Horses & Greyhounds 💜
Have you ever wished your horse or greyhound could tell you when something wasn’t quite right?
Thermal imaging is a safe, non-invasive, contact-free assessment that detects changes in heat patterns across the body. These changes can sometimes highlight areas of inflammation, increased workload or compensation before obvious clinical signs develop, or when other means of investigation haven’t given any clear answers.
Thermal imaging is commonly used to:
- Monitor performance
- Establish a thermal profile and baseline for future comparison
- Investigate unexplained changes in performance or behaviours
- Monitor rehabilitation and recovery
- Lameness Exams
- Assist with saddle, tack or equipment assessments
- Complement veterinary examinations and other health professionals
Every scan includes:
📸 A full thermal assessment
📝 A detailed written report
Thermal imaging is not a diagnosis, but it can be an excellent tool for identifying areas that may warrant closer monitoring or veterinary investigation. Potentially identifying underlying factors that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.
📍Based in Rockhampton, with travel available for clinics and multiple bookings.
💙 Group bookings are welcome.
If you’ve been curious about thermal imaging or would like to know whether it would suit your horse or greyhound, send me a message—I’m always happy to answer any questions!

✨ Team Update ✨
I’m so excited to officially announce that Shara and Fling have been promoted from affiliated riders to fully sponsored Breeze Equine Sports Therapy riders! 💙
When a sponsored position became available, there was honestly only one combination that came to mind. Shara has been an incredible ambassador for Breeze Equine Sports Therapy, and together with Fling they’ve represented the team with dedication, kindness and genuine passion.

Lewie - a horse of a lifetime. Not many can turn a hoof to absolutely anything but so far he has a 100% success rate. Definitely a jack of all trades - master of none, but he’s all heart ♥️

After countless messages from interstate owners, I’m excited to officially begin exploring opportunities to bring Breeze Equine Sports Therapy thermal imaging clinics Australia wide 🐎🔥
The goal is to make professional thermal imaging more accessible through organised clinic days held at central locations. This allows multiple horses to be seen efficiently, while keeping interstate travel practical and pricing affordable for everyone involved.
At this stage, I’m particularly looking for:
✔️ Pony clubs
✔️ Riding schools & training facilities
✔️ Agistment centres
✔️ Suitable host properties
✔️ Individuals willing to help coordinate interest within their area
📍Victoria & Tasmania will likely be the first interstate locations due to my connections, before expanding further across Australia.
Host incentives will be available for suitable venues or organisers helping coordinate bookings ✨
If you’d be interested in:
• hosting a clinic
• helping organise your area
• joining a waitlist
• or learning more
Please send the page a message with your location 😊
And if you know a pony club, riding centre, trainer or horse person who may be interested, feel free to tag them below or share this post 👇🤍
I’m incredibly grateful for all the support already shown and very excited to see where this opportunity may lead.

✨ Lewie update — a good reminder that abscesses aren’t always straightforward ✨
I thought I’d share this one because it’s actually a really good example of why some abscess cases don’t follow the “textbook” timeline.
Lewie initially presented with a classic foot abscess, which tracked and drained through the sole. It was opened, cleaned, and resolved really well — no discharge, no smell, and the tract was drying nicely.
However… he remained quite lame.
There were no obvious signs of ongoing infection in the original site, which made it one of those cases where you go:
“something still isn’t adding up…”
Today, while fitting a hoof boot to keep the area protected (without over-sealing it), a second abscess revealed itself — this time draining from the lateral heel bulb.
This explains why he wasn’t improving as expected.
In cases like this, it’s not uncommon to have:
• multiple pockets of infection
• or tracking through different planes of the foot
• especially when there’s been trauma (e.g. nail placement) or altered weight-bearing
Until all pressure is released, the horse will often remain quite sore despite one tract appearing resolved.
The good news is — now that both areas have drained, we’d expect a much quicker improvement from here.
And the less clinical version…
Lewie decided one abscess simply wasn’t enough and upgraded himself to the deluxe package 🤦🏻♀️😂
