Sorry that I haven’t been getting back to everyone’s messages! 🫶🏼

I’m not ignoring anyone, I promise! The shop is closed while I’m away at Jamboree, so I haven’t been on my phone much.

It’s absolutely kicked off up here already! 🏁🔥

I’ll be back in the shop first thing Tuesday morning, ready to get back into it. If you’re down here at the track over the weekend, make sure you come and say hi!

Another hectic day done and dusted! 💈🫶🏼

A massive thank you to everyone who came in today, specially when the line ups started and didn’t seem too stop, but an even bigger thank you to those I had to turn away when I closed the doors at 3:00pm this afternoon!

As most of you know, it’s just me here at the shop! But always before I’m a barber, I’m a mum! Unfortunately, I had two sick little helpers hanging out the back all day, but by 3:00pm they’d well and truly had enough, so we called it for the day!

But don’t stress,

I’ll be back tomorrow and Wednesday from 8:30am–5:00pm, so if you’re due for a fresh cut, make sure you pop in before I take off for Jambo on Thursday!!

Just a reminder, I’ll be closed from Thursday through until Monday, so don’t leave it until later in the week or you’ll miss out.

I’ve made the decision to remove the shop contact number. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for quite a while now. As a one-woman shop, my hands are usually full cutting hair, and with how busy things are each week, I simply can’t keep stopping to answer the phone. My priority is giving every client in the chair my full attention and keeping the line moving as smoothly as possible.

August is shaping up to be one of the biggest (and busiest!) months yet at Spencey’s Barbershop! 🖤💛

Just a quick heads-up on a couple of planned closures so you can get your fresh cuts sorted before I head off!!

📅 Closed: 6th–10th August
I’ll be making the trip to Willowbank Raceway for Jamboree 2026. Who else is heading down? Three huge days of sport compact drag racing, insane builds and plenty of horsepower! 🚗💨

🎉 Closed: 14th-16th August
We’re off to Mackay to celebrate with our nearest and dearest friends 🫶🏼

💍 Closed: 28th–31st August
My beautiful sister-in-law is getting married, so I’ll be taking a few days away to celebrate with the family. 🥂

I’ll keep reminding everyone as the dates get closer, so there won’t be any surprises.

So I may mention our yearly step out before the crazy Christmas time starts,

And before all that… who’s heading to the Rocky Swap this Saturday? I’ll definitely be wandering around hunting for a few treasures! 👀 The Rocky Swap is held at the Rockhampton Showgrounds and is one of Australia’s biggest annual swap meets for car, bike and truck enthusiasts.
