La Punk Project
The future of living lightly. Resets for modern families.
This is a story about friendship and a joint love of travel, fashion, design and beautiful natural textiles. When Natalie Knoll and Macayla Chapman met in Sydney in 2012, little did they know that they were starting an Antipodean success story that would take their resort wear from Australia and New Zealand to the floors of Harvey Nichols, Bergdorf Goodman, Harrods and Four Seasons Resorts. There is something about being in the sea that resets everything before the day even starts. No agenda, only the moment before you surface.
What is your morning ritual?

We don’t think the future is about giving things up.
We think the future is about finding better materials, better design, better ingredients and better systems.
We are excited to pool our community knowledge and find out how we can choose better.
My reset was all encompassing. I went back to university and did a Master of Sustainability at the age of 45. What I discovered was far beyond the lectures and the essays, but in fact was a fresh outlook on my way of life, what I brought into our home and how our family lived. Our home was our precious space, time spent together there was an escape from the noise of fast paced modern life, and we had to make changes. At first, I thought I had to completely upend everything, but eventually, and as I progress every day, I realise this isn’t about being perfect and sacrificing all the fun and wonderful things we love but more about consciously choosing, and ultimately fitting those changes seamlessly into our lives.

Cressida and I kept returning to the idea of reset.
The quiet return to what matters. The things we bring into our homes. The rituals we live with every day. The small choices that stay with us over time.
La punk project - the reset club is simply a community space to share these things together.
A little lighter.
A little slower.
A little more conscious.

The Reset Club is a curated editorial series within LA PUNK.
The series documents small, practical changes people make in their everyday routines. These are decisions that simplify, reduce waste or reflect a more considered approach to daily life.
We are interested in how people are making changes to how they approach everyday decisions. Through all the noise we think some of the best ideas come from community, conversation and lived experience. We value our community’s learnings and The Reset Club is designed to be an organic, ever-evolving space.
Our first family is LA PUNK co-founder Cressida Hilken.
After decades modelling internationally, her reset was returning to university to complete a Masters in Sustainability. Through The Reset Club, we will follow her story and explore the simple, thoughtful changes she and her family have gradually incorporated into daily life.
We hope it inspires others to slow down, reassess and join the reset.

We believe objects with purpose are back.
Design-led packaging made to be kept, refilled and used for years is what we covet.
Fewer, better products. Heirloom packaging you want to hold onto. That’s the future of living lightly.

LA PUNK is a community-led project shaped by the people around us..our family, friends and a growing network searching for a more considered way of living. Fewer things, better materials, slower routines and an overall a lighter footprint.
This is a place to exchange ideas, rituals and small practical resets.
We know more people are starting to question what they buy, what they keep, and what they bring into their homes.
