Eco Living Aruba
Eco Living Aruba is a sustainable lifestyle brand dedicated to ethical beekeeping and crafting handmade, eco-friendly products using local Aruban ingredients.
Eco Living Aruba products use the bare minimum of quality natural ingredients with atleast one ingredient that is locally sourced. Our philosophy is "Less is More". Our handmade products are priced so that everyone can enjoy them. No one should feel that helping to preserve our planet should come at a high price. As Eco Living Aruba evolves we hope to create more products that use more locally sou
Bees love healthy soil. A good way to know if your soil is healthy or not is to water it and see if bees come by for a drink. Bees love the minerality and nutrients in the soil. To them its like having a smoothie instead of just drinking water. ๐

Want healthy food? You need bees. Want bees? Then we need to understand our own role in nature.
So much fear around bees โ but a fear of bees is really a fear of nature. And nature is us.
This Saturday, May 23rd, my husband Dan Barros of Eco Living Aruba is offering an beekeeping workshop at Santa Rosa, 8amโ12pm.
A beautiful place to start.

As part of our growing commitment to sustainability and biodiversity, La Quinta Beach Resort has introduced an on-site ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ต๐ถ๐๐ฒ to help support Arubaโs delicate ecosystem and local pollinators.
Currently in its testing phase, the initiative has already sparked curiosity and excitement among our team members. Through an educational presentation led by our local beekeeping partner Eco Living Aruba , staff had the opportunity to learn more about the vital role bees play in nature, resulting in thoughtful questions and a deeper understanding of how hospitality can also contribute positively to the environment around us.
The addition of bees also marks another meaningful step in the growth of La Quintaโs syntropic agroforestry garden, further strengthening the connection between hospitality, regeneration, and biodiversity.
In time, the hive will also produce small batches of local honey to be incorporated into select guest experiences and culinary offerings.
A small hive, with an important purpose.
Because where you choose to stayโฆ can also help nature thrive.๐

๐ Bee Fact Friday! ๐
Did you know that a single honeybee will produce only 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in her entire lifetime?
Yet together, a colony of 50,000 bees can produce up to 100 lbs of honey in a single year. That is the power of community, cooperation, and nature working in perfect harmony.
At Eco Living Aruba, we are humbled every day by the incredible work of our bees. We take only what they can spare, and we give back by protecting their habitat on our beautiful island. ๐ฆ๐ผ
