Key note Speech: Dr. Md Hafizur Rahman, Professor, Department of Environmental Science and Management, Independent University, Bangladesh, is currently delivering his keynote address at the National Youth Summit on Just Transition and Sustainable Urban Mobility.

In his remarks, he is highlighting the urgent intersections of climate change, rapid urbanization, and sustainable development, while raising critical questions on how Bangladesh’s cities can grow without deepening inequality and environmental stress.

He is sharing important insights on building greener, more inclusive, and climate-resilient cities, ensuring a just transition that leaves no one behind.

At the National Youth Summit on Just Transition and Sustainable Urban Mobility, our Executive Coordinator Sohanur Rahman joined as a key speaker, bringing strong insights from the ground to the national dialogue.

A youth climate leader and development practitioner from Bangladesh, he continues to work at the intersection of climate justice, youth mobilization, and inclusive urban and environmental policy advocacy.

Over the years, he has been actively amplifying the voices of frontline communities and strengthening just transition narratives from Bangladesh in both national and international spaces, including global climate forums.

At the summit, he contributed to discussions on just transition and sustainable urban mobility, highlighting grassroots realities, youth leadership, and the urgent need for greener, more inclusive, and people-centered cities.

Our great honor that, Mohammad Navid Shafiullah, Additional Secretary and Head of the Climate Change Wing, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of Bangladesh, delivered his speech as the Chief Guest at the inaugural session of the National Youth Summit on Just Transition and Sustainable Urban Mobility.

In his remarks, he highlighted the urgency of addressing climate change, rapid urbanization, and the need for a just and inclusive transition toward sustainable cities, leaving no one behind. He emphasized stronger collaboration between policymakers, youth, and key stakeholders to advance climate-resilient development pathways and promote sustainable urban mobility in Bangladesh.

খেলা শেষে বিজয়ী ও রানারআপ দলের মাঝে পুরস্কার বিতরণ করা হয়। প্রধান অতিথি তাঁর বক্তব্যে যুব সমাজকে মাদক ও অপরাধ থেকে দূরে রেখে খেলাধুলা ও সামাজিক কর্মকাণ্ডে সম্পৃক্ত থাকার আহ্বান জানান।
