An open window to life
It’s an illusion 💔🖤

In the talking world of sustainability and the goodness of fermented foods like kimchi, we Bengalis have been consuming the ultimate summer staple — “Panta Bhat.”
“Nothing goes to the bin” might be the motto of every Bengali kitchen. We Bengalis have witnessed famine, natural calamities, and war for centuries. Despite living in a land, rich in agriculture, our people have died of food scarcity due to both natural and man-made causes.
These economic traumas run through our minds and have shaped our food habits. That’s how sustainable, eco-friendly food like Panta Bhat — made from leftover rice from the night before — was introduced into our lives.
Despite not knowing its nutritional value, we have been eating it for centuries, especially during the summer. When the scorching sun becomes unbearable, a handful of Panta hits every right spot of our soul.
Now, we understand the value of the labor behind a single grain of rice. We are also aware of the hard times that taught us — this too shall pass.

OMG!!!!!
I tried my best not to scream while capturing the moment. I bought the bird nest from Prokritee just as a show piece. Honestly i did not expect that a male house sparrow would come to my balcony and pair with a female one. Then they started making their home in the hutch and made babies!!
Wow..couple goals 🥰
