Measles (হাম)

It is a highly contagious, serious viral disease nature by high fever, cough, runny nose, red watery eyes, red rash etc. It is so infectious that up to 9 out of 10 unvaccinated people.

The major symptoms of measles include a very high fever (up to 105°F), a severe cough, runny nose and red watery eyes . These initial cold-like symptoms are followed by tiny white spots in the mouth.

Measles can lead to severe and life-threatening complications, most commonly pneumonia, encephalitis (brain swelling).blindness, dehydration from diarrhea, etc.

Homeopathic Supported Remedies;

Aconite:
Sudden high fever with hot dry skin, pain in the eyes, strong thirst, and a fearful feeling are indications for this remedy.

Bryonia:

It can be indicated when the rash is slow to appear, and the chest is congested with a painful cough. The person’s mouth may be very dry, with a thirst for long cold drinks.

Euphrasia:

When the eyes of the patients are swollen, streaming, and very sensitive to light, then this remedy may be considered. The tears can irritate the face, The patient has chills, feels worse from warmth, and prefers to stay in a darkened room.

Pulsatilla:

It is often indicated when the rash is slow to develop and the symptoms of a cold are prominent. The patients does not feel very thirsty, is worse from warmth and stuffy rooms, and improves in open air.

Belladonna:

If the fever comes on rapidly, with a red flushed face, hot skin, dilated eyes that are sensitive to light, and a throbbing headache then we should remember it.

Gelsemium:

If the patients feeling a drowsy, lethargic with fever, droopy eyes, are strong indications for this remedy. The rash is itchy, hot, and dry. If headache begins in the back of the head and neck then it is needed.

Kali bi:

If hoarseness, coughing up of stringy yellow mucus, earache, and sticky eyes may be seen.

Rhus tox:

Severe itchy rash that feels better from applying heat may indicate a need for this remedy. The person is very restless, and may feel driven to get up and pace.

One should have also maintained the followings;
Protecting your home against measles requires strict isolation of infected individuals and maximizing your household's immunity. Because the virus is highly contagious and airborne, ensure full vaccination, isolate the sick for at least four days after a rash appears, wear N95 masks, and sanitize highly.

Homeopathic medicine depends on individualization. So, Self medication should be prohibited always.
