When Typhoon Tino struck Cebu, the floods left many of us shocked, scared, and searching for someone to blame. But pointing fingers will not dry our homes, rebuild our roads, or comfort the families who lost so much. Instead of arguing over who is at fault, let us come together as a community. We can start with simple acts—donate what we can, volunteer in clean-up drives, share food and clothes, or simply check on our neighbors. Real change begins when we choose compassion over anger, unity over division, and action over complaints. Disasters may test our strength, but how we respond defines who we truly are. Let’s do the right thing—not just for ourselves, but for everyone.

One year from now, I want to be able to look back at my life and say: Girl, you really did believe in yourself and it worked. I envision a future where confidence and self-trust guide me. I'll have taken risks, pushed past fears, and pursued my passions with unwavering dedication.

I'll have learned to silence my inner critic and instead, cultivate a supportive inner voice that encourages growth and resilience. I'll celebrate my achievements, no matter how small they may seem, and acknowledge the strength I've developed along the way.

Believing in myself means embracing uncertainty and finding comfort in the unknown. It means being kind to myself when faced with setbacks and using those moments as opportunities for growth. I'll surround myself with people who uplift and support me, and I'll strive to be that source of positivity for others.

One year from now, I'll look back on the journey, not just the destination. I'll recognize the person I've become and the life I've built. I'll say, "Girl, you really did believe in yourself, and it worked."
