I love you more than turkey and dessert! 🦃🍰 Our little artists have been busy putting their personal stamp on this Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving 2026 - From Giggle Land!

The beauty of completely child-led play! 🌾🍁🎂
We set out a Canadian Thanksgiving invitation to explore harvest textures, and our amazing children took the learning in the most beautiful direction. They sorted by color, chopped, stirred, "cooked" up a grand feast and more. Then, using their incredible imaginations, they turned our community circle into a pretend birthday celebration, singing together with so much joy! 🥹❤️
This single play session opened up every area of holistic development:
👉 Math & Logic: Sorting shapes, counting harvest items, and organizing by size.
👉 Imaginative & Symbolic Play: Transforming a Thanksgiving theme into a birthday party—a huge milestone for creative thinking!
👉 Social-Emotional Bonding: Taking turns, collaborating on a shared story, and practicing kindness and care for one another.
When we let children lead the way, play becomes richer than anything we could have planned! ✨

The Canadian Thanksgiving Harvest Tray - Harvest hands and happy hearts! 🌾🍁
With Canadian Thanksgiving just around the corner, our little chefs and scientists at Giggle Land Playcare are diving into the rich colors and textures of a traditional autumn harvest.
Through this beautiful, open-ended tray, our children are exploring real mini pumpkins, ears of corn, stalks of wheat, and cozy wooden elements. This setup is doing so much more than just inviting beautiful play—it's helping our little ones build:
👉 Fine Motor Coordination: Scooping, sorting, and balancing with spoons, forks, and tongs.
👉 Mathematical Thinking: Counting items, sorting by color or shape, and comparing sizes.
👉 Language & Literacy: Expressing gratitude and exploring seasonal vocabulary
We love watching their imaginations turn a simple tray into a grand Thanksgiving feast! 🧡✨

The Autumn Branch & Art Tray
I wonder how trees change when the weather gets crisp?" 🌲🔍
We brought a piece of the great outdoors inside! Our latest nature provocation invites the children to slow down, look closely, and connect with the natural world.
This holistic invitation focuses on:
👉 Scientific Inquiry: Inspecting textures, patterns, and discussing why leaves change color.
👉 3D Spatial Awareness: Using clay bases to stand branches upright and think in three dimensions.
👉 Mindfulness & Grounding: Calming the senses through the earthy scents and quiet focus of natural materials.
Art isn't just about what we make; it’s about how we see the world around us! 🍁❤️
