You asked, and we’ve been working on something special!

As we age, our skin naturally changes. Changes in skin oils and their oxidation can contribute to differences in body odour, including the development of a compound called 2-nonenal, which is associated with age-related body odour.

After receiving so many requests for a soap thoughtfully formulated for mature skin, we decided to explore a combination of traditional ingredients and botanicals.

Our newest handcrafted soap brings together:

🌿 Tallow - Creates a wonderfully rich, creamy lather for a luxurious cleansing experience.

🌿 Kaolin Clay - A gentle mineral clay that helps absorb excess surface oils.

🖤 Activated Charcoal - A highly porous ingredient known for its ability to adsorb certain substances. A popular addition to cleansing bars, it complements the kaolin clay in our formulation.

🌿 Tea Tree Essential Oil - Traditionally appreciated for its cleansing applications and distinctive fresh, herbal scent.

🍊 Bitter Orange Essential Oil - Adds a beautiful, bright citrus aroma.

🍃 Strongly Brewed Black Tea - Naturally rich in tannins, plant compounds known for their astringent properties. We’ve incorporated a concentrated black tea infusion into our soapmaking process.

The result is a beautiful botanical cleansing bar, carefully crafted to help wash away everyday buildup, surface oils and impurities while leaving skin feeling clean and refreshed.

We aren’t promising to turn back the clock or eliminate age-related body odour. Instead, we’re bringing together thoughtfully selected ingredients in a traditional handcrafted soap designed with the changing needs of mature skin in mind.

This batch will be cut and set up for curing tomorrow! It will be ready for sales in 4-6 weeks.

What an interesting and fun class tonight with the City of GP staff. Teaching is never without its challenges, from excess noise to excess hot flashes - I made it through unscathed and I think everyone got the gist. 🤣😊😬😬😬

These ladies were exceptionally creative and it was fun seeing what they did with colour combos.

What a week! I always feel rushed after a long weekend, and my folks always seem to know when I need the most help. Yesterday I made 160 new bars of soap and we wrapped and labelled nearly 200 bars of cured soaps. Christmas season is coming fast!

Advent calendars are nearly sold out - with just a few left to go. Markets are booked and I don’t have a free weekend left until after Christmas. Stay tuned for the list of places we will be popping up.

While I’m doing my best to ignore my phone today, work never really stops. My new shipment of Soap Envelope - by Cycle Air envelopes and the new best-selling taupe colour soap dishes arrived today! These will be restocked on the website shortly. 😊

Teaching a fun soap-making class tonight with the City of GP Social Club! What a great group! We had a few hiccups but it all worked out just fine. 😉👌👌

Traditional Soap Making with a twist!! 🧼 🫧

Classes at the 55 North Community Centre are filling up quickly for October 24. We have a couple of morning spots left and a few for the afternoon. Don’t wait too long to book, as this is my final class in 2026.

Soap made this month will still be ready for Christmas.

You will receive a full set of curing instructions along with your bars of soap.

Restocking our Apple C***r Vinegar Soap today! 🍎

Can we take a moment to appreciate that incredible colour change in just a few short minutes?!

As the lye reacts with the sugary goodness of the apple c***r vinegar, things heat up FAST! I had cold water running and added the lye slowly to keep that temperature under control.

And here’s a little soapmaking chemistry for you! The acetic acid in the vinegar neutralizes some of the lye, which means I have to do some extra math to make sure everything balances out perfectly.

A little science, a little patience, and a whole lot of chemistry happening right before my eyes.

This is one of the reasons I never get tired of making soap! ❤️
