A little behind the scenes of your colour appointment

Color matching is SO much more than finding a shade that looks pretty on a swatch.
Iβm looking at your existing level, underlying pigment, natural regrowth, previous color, porosity, and the tones we need to add, neutralize or enhance to get you where you want to be.
Sometimes the magic is in the formulaβ¦ and sometimes itβs in knowing what not to put on the hair. π
Every head of hair is different, which is why your colour should be customized to you.
A little swatch matching, a little color theory, and a whole lot of intention behind the chair. π¨βοΈ

The little projects are just as important, but I LOVE a BIG project too. π€β¨
This was our first session together, and there was a lot to accomplish!
We worked toward a softer, more seamless grey blend while getting closer to her desired tone. I toned the hair twice to gradually refine the color, and added lowlights to create more depth and dimension. No lighter was used here girly π
We also finished with a Cezanne smoothing treatment β¨
Cezanne is designed to help reduce frizz, smooth the hair, improve manageability, enhance shine, and leave the hair feeling healthier and more polished. Itβs also a time investment β depending on the hair, the treatment itself can take several hours β but the result is SO worth it!
Big color corrections and transformations take patience, planning and sometimes more than one step to get exactly where we want to go. And honestlyβ¦ I love that part. π€
One session down, and weβre already headed in the right direction! β¨

From black to copper β¨
This transformation has been a JOURNEY! We went from black β‘οΈ auburn β‘οΈ this gorgeous dimensional copper.
After lightening her whole head and giving her hair some time to breathe, we came back a few months later and added a few strategically placed foils to create even more dimension without taking away from all that beautiful warmth. π₯
Proof that big colour transformations donβt have to happen all at once. Sometimes the healthiest, prettiest results come with a little patience. β¨

This client had been coloring her own hair at home, but this time she decided to come into the salon for a refreshβand Iβm so glad she did!

Soft Dimension β¨
This client came to me a few months ago wanting a softer, more natural look while also focusing on getting her hair back to a healthier place. π€
Today we added a few strategically placed foils, some soft lowlights for dimension, and finished with our regular K18 treatment to keep her hair feeling healthy and strong.
Slow, intentional changes = beautiful, healthy hair. β¨

Violet vibes π
This client came in needing a root touch-up and a refresh from an at-home color that needed a little correcting before we could achieve her desired purple.
I started with Blonde IQ lightener and 10 volume on the regrowth, followed by a gentle bleach wash through the ends to help clean up and even out the existing color while preparing the hair for a vibrant, more even deposit.
Once the canvas was ready, I applied Pulp Riot to create this rich, dimensional purple. π Finished with a K18 treatment to help restore and strengthen the hair after the lightening process.
A little corrective work, a lot of patience, and a whole lot of purple. β¨
