BOYCOTT ED SHEERAN
"I don't take sides" is a side.
When Palestinian children are being bombed and starved, neutrality is not balance. It's permission, it's acquiescence, and it's cowardice. It's simply the cheapest choice for the person making it.
So let's make it more expensive. Stop streaming Ed Sheeran and don't buy the tickets.
In the society we live in, celebrities have great power. And with great power comes great responsibility.
Macklemore says two words cost him a stadium tour and much more. He's still saying them.
We invite to come play our stage at 206 Piccadilly St in London, Ontario. The words "Free Palestine" will always be welcome here.

BOYCOTT ED SHEERAN: NEUTRALITY IS STILL A CHOICE WHEN HUMAN LIVES ARE ON THE LINE
Macklemore says his 13-year friendship with Ed Sheeran reached a breaking point after conversations about Palestine and their upcoming stadium shows. According to Macklemore, Ed told him that Robert Kraft had said Macklemore would not be allowed to perform at Gillette Stadium and that other stadium owners had allegedly delivered an ultimatum: if Macklemore remained on the tour, Ed could lose access to their venues. Those are Macklemore’s claims, and they deserve independent confirmation.
But the larger issue is the part I cannot ignore. Macklemore says Ed continued to take the position that he does not take sides. There are moments when neutrality may feel safe, professional or apolitical, but when civilians are suffering and fundamental human rights are at stake, refusing to take a position is itself a choice. Speaking up can cost artists money, sponsorships, relationships and access. Macklemore says it has cost him all of those things, and he chose to keep speaking anyway.
You do not have to hate Ed Sheeran to decide you will no longer financially support him. Boycotting is a form of peaceful protest. Consumers have every right to decide that their streams, tickets and dollars will not support artists whose choices conflict with their values. For me, human rights are not an issue where neutrality is enough.
Free Palestine.
