The day so many things happened.
But my fave thing was going Grade 8 Grad dress shopping. Ya know I can still remember shopping for mine at Dixie Outlet Mall!! Lately, time has felt so strange.. my oldest daughter is in grade 8 and buying the same fashion I wore when I was in grade 8… does she feel and think all the same things that I did too? Am I showing up for her in a way that she needs? Am I making myself available for her? Is she scared and confused and nervous but also really fu***ng brave and strong? Does she know… like REALLY know that I love her so much that it hurts?
I hope she does. God I am totally rambling… but theres just so many feelings today. Parenting is def not at all what I had expected it to be. And I am learning every single day to embrace it for what it is… all of it…. Especially the really hard parts because I think its those moments that will bring it all together… if you stayed and read this far… thanks for being here… I hope you stick around and ride this rollercoaster with me 💜
