After a fun day of daycare, why not finish it with a massage?
Playing, running, wrestling with friends, and exploring all use muscles.
Massage can help support tired muscles, encourage relaxation, and leave your dog feeling comfortable after an active day.
A full day of enrichment...
followed by a little wellness.
Sounds like a pretty perfect dog day to me. 💜

🐾 See Me Sunday 🐾
Meet Doris 💕
If you've ever lost a dog toy in your house... don't bother looking.
Doris has it 😄
This 4-year-old French Bulldog mix has one true passion in life... TOYS!
Stuffies, balls, squeakers, ropes—if she can carry it around proudly like a trophy, she's in heaven.
She'll happily entertain herself by tossing them in the air, pouncing on them, giving them a good shake, and then proudly parading them around the house like she's just won a championship.
And fetch?
Well... she'll retrieve it.
She just doesn't see any reason to give it back!
Once playtime is over, Doris transforms into the sweetest little cuddle bug. She loves relaxing beside her people and soaking up all the affection she can get.
Doris is looking for a home with:
🐾 Lots of toys (seriously... lots!)
🐾 Older, respectful children
🐾 No cats or small animals
🐾 A family that will continue her training and give her the structure she needs to thrive
She's funny, affectionate, full of personality, and guaranteed to keep a smile on your face.

🎉 Happy DOGust! 🎉
August 1st is celebrated as the unofficial birthday for shelter and rescue dogs whose actual birthdays are unknown.
Today we celebrate every dog that has overcome uncertainty, found a second chance, or is still waiting for the family they've been dreaming of.
Happy Birthday to all of the incredible shelter and rescue dogs—you are loved more than you know ❤️
And here's to making this the month we empty the shelters, one adoption at a time 🐾
Share a photo of your rescue in the comments and tell us their "gotcha" story!

How is your dog enjoying summer so far?
I'd love to know!
Share your favourite summer photo in the comments—whether it's a cottage trip, a camping adventure, a beach day, or your dog simply soaking up the sunshine ☀️🐾
Let's fill the comments with happy summer pups 💜
🐾 Every dog has their own way of saying, "I'm feeling pretty good about this 💜
I've noticed a pattern with many of my massage clients that always makes me smile. It doesn't happen with every dog, but when it does, it often goes something like this...
Stage 1 - A little kiss.
Whether it's a quick nose boop or a gentle lick, it's often one of the first signs that trust is building.
Stage 2 - The big yawn.
Yawning can happen for many reasons, but during a calm massage session it's commonly seen as a sign of relaxation and a shift in the nervous system as the dog begins to unwind. It's one of my favourite moments because you can almost see the tension melting away.
Stage 3 - The head drop.
This is the grand finale. The head rests on the table... or on the floor... the eyes get heavy, and they settle right in for the rest of their session. That's when I know they're comfortable enough to simply enjoy the moment.
This sweet little Dachshund gave me the full three-stage routine, and I couldn't help but smile ❤️
Building trust is just as important as the massage itself, and every dog gets to move at their own pace.

🎓 Russell graduated! 🐾
Tonight, Russell graduated from The Crunchy Canine - Dog Training's Basic Obedience Program, and I couldn't be more proud of him!
Over the course of the program, he learned loose leash walking, a solid sit, down and stay, place, and an impressive 3-minute hold with distractions—including food, people, people with food, other dogs.. and how to compose himself in different environments.
I've worked with dogs for many years and have trained many of my own, but I truly believe there's so much value in committing to a training class. It's a great refresher on how to communicate clearly with your dog, and it dedicates that time each week that we all say we're going to spend training... but let's be honest, life gets busy and it doesn't always happen! Having that commitment keeps both you and your dog learning together.
Watching Russell's confidence grow has been so rewarding, and we've both learned a lot along the way. As always, I'm incredibly grateful for the knowledge, patience, and support of the trainers at The Crunchy Canine.
If you've been thinking about training your dog, consider this your sign. Investing in training is one of the best gifts you can give your dog—and yourself. It builds communication, confidence, and creates a stronger bond that lasts a lifetime.
Congratulations, Russell! As always... you're a super good man 💜🐾

Even athletic dogs need recovery.
Rest days allow muscles time to recover after activity, helping support healthy movement and reducing fatigue.
Not every day needs to be a big adventure!
