That stubborn knot in your upper back isn't always something you can simply stretch away. 👀
Persistent muscle tension may affect how your neck, shoulders, and upper back move together, making everyday activities feel uncomfortable.
When appropriate, Shockwave Therapy may help:
• stimulate the body's natural healing response
• improve local blood flow
• support healthier soft tissue function
• complement a personalized rehabilitation program
The goal isn't just temporary relief—it's improving how the muscles and surrounding tissues function so you can move more comfortably.
Every case of upper back pain is different, which is why a thorough assessment is the first step toward choosing the right treatment.
💬 Are you dealing with persistent upper back tightness or muscle knots? Comment "BACK" below, and our team will help you understand what your next step could be and whether an assessment may be helpful for your situation.

Persistent heel pain may be more than just inflammation. 👣
While plantar fasciitis often begins with irritation of the plantar fascia, long-standing symptoms can involve changes within the tissue that may take longer to recover.
Shockwave therapy uses acoustic waves to help stimulate your body's natural healing response. When combined with a thorough assessment and an individualized rehabilitation program, it may help improve function and support recovery for appropriate patients.
Every case of heel pain is different, which is why identifying the underlying cause is the first step toward choosing the right treatment.
💬 Are your first steps in the morning the most painful? Let us know below.

Could a tight hip muscle be contributing to your symptoms? 👀
In Part 3 of our Meralgia Paresthetica series, we take a closer look at the tensor fasciae latae (TFL), a muscle located at the front and outside of the hip.
Because the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve travels close to this area, stiffness, overactivity, or compression around the TFL may contribute to nerve irritation in some individuals. However, the TFL isn't always the source of the problem, which is why a thorough assessment is important.
At Pain Free Health, we don't just focus on where the symptoms are felt. We assess the hip, pelvis, lower back, and movement patterns to better understand what may be contributing to your discomfort and develop a treatment plan that's appropriate for your individual needs.
👀 Follow for Part 4, where we'll share three signs your symptoms may be nerve related.

Achilles tendon pain? 👣
Not every case of Achilles tendon pain is treated the same. Depending on your assessment, different treatment approaches may be recommended to address what's contributing to your symptoms.
IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation) may help:
• reduce muscle tension
• improve muscle function
• support more efficient movement
Shockwave Therapy may help:
• stimulate the body's natural healing response
• support tendon recovery
• improve function during rehabilitation
Every treatment plan is individualized based on your condition, symptoms, and goals.

As your ankle gets stronger, your rehab should progress too. 👣💪
One of the biggest mistakes after an ankle injury is focusing only on the ankle.
As you recover, it's important to strengthen the muscles that support your entire lower limb, especially the hips. Poor hip control can change how your leg moves, placing extra stress on the ankle and increasing the risk of future injuries.
This exercise may help:
• strengthen the recovering ankle
• improve hip stability and control
• support better lower limb movement
• reduce compensatory movement patterns
Recovery isn't just about returning to activity—it's about building a stronger foundation for the future.
💬 Save this exercise for your next rehab session.

👏 Welcome to the team, Dan!
Did you know outer thigh numbness isn't always caused by your back? 👀
In some cases, irritation of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve may occur near the front of the pelvis, where the nerve passes beneath the inguinal ligament before traveling to the outside of the thigh.
Potential contributors may include:
• prolonged sitting
• tight waistbands or belts
• local tissue tension
• compression around the front of the hip
Understanding where a nerve may become irritated is an important step in identifying what's contributing to your symptoms. A thorough assessment can help determine whether this nerve—or another condition—is the source of your discomfort.
👀 Follow for Part 3, where we'll explore the muscles around this area and how they may contribute to nerve irritation.
💬 Have you experienced burning, tingling, or numbness on the outside of your thigh? Let us know below.
