At Manea Soaps we use hibiscus that grow here on island. This is one of many varieties of hibiscus that can offer medicinal benefits. Here are five facts highlighting why Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is good to use topically:

Skin Hydration: Hibiscus rosa-sinensis has natural humectant properties, meaning it can help attract and retain moisture in the skin. This quality makes it beneficial for dry and dehydrated skin, leaving it feeling softer and more supple.

Exfoliation and Skin Renewal: The plant contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), such as citric and malic acids, which help exfoliate the skin. Regular use can aid in removing dead skin cells, promoting cell turnover, and revealing a fresher, more radiant complexion.

We thank you all very much for your support so far.

After overwhelming feedback about your experience with Dora, we have decided to open the doors to our home and invite you to come and drink tea, hang out and chat on Tiniura. Tiniura the name of the land Dora resides on. The translation is - where everyone come together to dance. We don't think this is by coincidence as you will see on your adventures at Dora's.

We've thrown a little flyer together and understand it is a bit vague. That is because the day is really determined by you.

Day's out for the moment are Tuesday ONLY, 10am - 2pm.

ACTIVATED CHARCOAL

Arguably our most popular soap at the moment. After harvesting the coconuts for the oil, Dora then cleans them and burns them to start the process of activating the charcoal.

Dora taught horticulture, has been to school to learn the art of aromatherapy and went to soap school, therefore has an understanding of the science to carefully formulate our soap to cater to specific medicinal and therapeutic needs. We are grateful for her experience growing up here as a child to learn the use of botanical extracts known for their healing properties, allowing you to choose soaps tailored to your individual skin concerns.
