To b candid Alex Ekubo’s sudden death still pitches me so badly that I wonder how much life would be without him giving me a chance at first sight of my craft. It flips my mode upside down even more each time someone sees the feed and message me, saying” I just saw the News of Alex Ekubo’s death and you immediately came into my mind” Let me be honest here, just as everyone wishing themselves success, I’m extremely optimistic about making it BIG and my Barbering career was on pivoting on HOPES until Alex Ekubo used his God given influence to give it a MEANING. I’m known, heard, respected and valued as a professional barber all because of his golden heart that felt the need to embrace my craft wholeheartedly with utmost genuinity. genuineness it really hurts man, I’m Sad, I relied so much on the plans but God knows best. RIP Angel Alex Ekubo

Dear Angel. Alex 💔🕊️😭🕯️

You never knew from Adam. Accessing you that fateful day was extremely difficult, and before meeting you, I had gone around begging several other celebrities just for a listening ear, hoping someone would give me one chance to prove myself. All I met was rejection after rejection.But moment I walked up to your apartment door, you did even act like I was a stranger standing at your face. You welcomed me with such warmth, smiles, and patience. I was completely starstruck and nervous. I didn’t even know what to say standing in front of you . You noticed how shaky and overwhelmed I was, and the first thing you told me was:“Calm down and talk me.”That alone made me feel human, my heart chilled!

I managed to introduce myself and explain that I was a barber. Even though you barely knew me, you still gave me a chance without stress or hesitation( Your P.A and creative Director, .bassey can testify ). and were genuinely impressed and started taking videos of me while I work with your phone

What touched me the most was that I never even expected a shoutout from you. You had already allowed me take pictures with you using my phone, and honestly, that alone was enough for me to celebrate for the rest of my life. I was just happy to have worked with someone with such a noble heart.But before I could even get home, you had already posted my work on your IG story.

My biggest shoutout in life came from you. 💔😭

And it didn’t stop there….

After the haircut, it was dinner time with your colleagues and creative director I was seated quietly in front of all of you, overwhelmed, excited, anxious, and simply watching people I only used to see on TV. Food was never my concern that moment . I wasn’t hungry. My belly was already full just from cutting your hair.

All I wanted was to go home and repost the pictures I took with you.

But then you looked at me and said:
“Join us and eat.” I was shocked. Eat with you people? I immediately said I wasn’t hungry.

Then you smiled and asked:
“Are you shy to eat with us?” Of course I was shy

But you insisted I eat with you and your colleagues on same table.
