বিএনপির ৭ মার্চ ঐতিহাসিক ভাষণের গুরুত্ব স্বীকার করেছিল

বাংলাদেশের রাজনীতিতে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে মুখোমুখি অবস্থানে রয়েছে আওয়ামী লীগ ও বিএনপি। তবে ২০২১ সালে স্বাধীনতার সুবর্ণজয়ন্তী উপলক্ষে বিএনপি প্রথমবারের মতো আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে ঐতিহাসিক ৭ মার্চ পালন করে এবং বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের ভাষণের গুরুত্ব স্বীকার করে। কিন্তু পাঁচ বছর পর ভিন্ন বাস্তবতায় ৭ মার্চ ঘিরে নতুন বিতর্ক তৈরি হয়েছে।

ভাষণ বাজানোকে কেন্দ্র করে গ্রেপ্তার

রাজধানীর শাহবাগ থানার সামনে বঙ্গবন্ধুর ঐতিহাসিক ৭ মার্চের ভাষণ বাজানোর অভিযোগে তিনজনকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে। তাদের মধ্যে রয়েছেন ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শামসুন্নাহার হল সংসদের সাবেক ভিপি শেখ তাসনিম আফরোজ ইমি। অন্য দুইজন হলেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থী আসিফ আহমেদ সৈকত ও আব্দুল আল মামুন।

রবিবার ঢাকার মেট্রোপলিটন ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট জুয়েল রানার আদালত তাদের কারাগারে পাঠানোর নির্দেশ দেন।

সন্ত্রাসবিরোধী আইনে মামলা

এর আগে শনিবার রাতে পুলিশ বাদী হয়ে শাহবাগ থানায় সন্ত্রাসবিরোধী আইনে একটি মামলা দায়ের করে। পরে গ্রেপ্তার তিনজনকে আদালতে হাজির করা হলে তদন্ত কর্মকর্তা তাদের কারাগারে আটক রাখার আবেদন করেন।

শাহবাগ থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা মো. মনিরুজ্জামান জানান, বঙ্গবন্ধুর ৭ মার্চের ভাষণ বাজানো হচ্ছিল—এমন অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে তাদের থানায় আনা হয়েছে।

২০২১ সালে বিএনপির ৭ মার্চ পালন

স্বাধীনতার সুবর্ণজয়ন্তী উপলক্ষে ২০২১ সালের মার্চে ১৯ দিনের কর্মসূচি ঘোষণা করেছিল বিএনপি। সেই কর্মসূচির অংশ হিসেবে দলটি প্রথমবারের মতো আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে ৭ মার্চ পালন করে।

জাতীয় প্রেস ক্লাবে আয়োজিত এক আলোচনা সভায় বিএনপি নেতারা বলেন, ১৯৭১ সালের ৭ মার্চের ভাষণ ঐতিহাসিক এবং সেই সময়ের অবিসংবাদিত নেতা শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের আহ্বানে মানুষ ঐক্যবদ্ধ হয়েছিল।

ইতিহাসে ৭ মার্চের গুরুত্ব

১৯৭১ সালের ৭ মার্চ ঢাকার তৎকালীন রেসকোর্স ময়দানে দেওয়া শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের ভাষণ বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামের অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রাজনৈতিক মুহূর্ত হিসেবে বিবেচিত।

এই ভাষণকে বিশ্বের প্রভাবশালী রাজনৈতিক ভাষণগুলোর একটি হিসেবে ধরা হয় এবং ২০১৭ সালে ইউনেস্কো এটিকে “মেমোরি অব দ্য ওয়ার্ল্ড” রেজিস্টারে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে।

নতুন রাজনৈতিক বাস্তবতা

২০২১ সালে যে দলটি রাজনৈতিক কর্মসূচির মাধ্যমে ৭ মার্চ পালন করেছিল, সেই বিএনপিই এখন রাষ্ট্রক্ষমতায় রয়েছে। তবে ২০২৬ সালে দিনটি রাষ্ট্রীয়ভাবে পালন করা হয়নি বলে বিভিন্ন গণমাধ্যমে খবর প্রকাশিত হয়েছে।

একই সঙ্গে দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানে ৭ মার্চের ভাষণ বাজানোকে কেন্দ্র করে গ্রেপ্তার ও উত্তেজনার ঘটনাও সামনে এসেছে, যা নতুন করে রাজনৈতিক বিতর্কের জন্ম দিয়েছে।

‘আসল ফ্যাসিস্ট ড. ইউনূস, হাসিনাকে সরাতে বিদেশি পিআর ফার্ম নিয়োগ দেওয়া হয়েছিল’: আইনজীবী মোহসিন রশীদের বিস্ফোরক দাবি

সুপ্রিম কোর্টের সিনিয়র আইনজীবী মোহসিন রশীদ বর্তমান অন্তর্বর্তীকালীন সরকারের প্রধান উপদেষ্টা ড. মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস এবং শেখ হাসিনার পতন নিয়ে বিস্ফোরক মন্তব্য করেছেন। তিনি দাবি করেছেন, শেখ হাসিনার সরকার উৎখাত কোনো সাধারণ আন্দোলন ছিল না, বরং এটি একটি সুপরিকল্পিত আন্তর্জাতিক ষড়যন্ত্র। আর এই ষড়যন্ত্রের সাথে ড. ইউনূস পুরোপুরি জড়িত। এমনকি তিনি ড. ইউনূসকে 'আসল ফ্যাসিস্ট' আখ্যা দিয়ে শেখ হাসিনার সরকারকে একটি 'বৈধ সরকার' হিসেবে দাবি করেছেন।

সম্প্রতি একটি টেলিভিশন টকশোতে অংশ নিয়ে দেশের বর্তমান রাজনৈতিক পরিস্থিতি, অন্তর্বর্তীকালীন সরকারের কার্যক্রম এবং রাষ্ট্রপতির অবস্থান নিয়ে কথা বলার সময় তিনি এসব চাঞ্চল্যকর দাবি করেন।

'শেখ হাসিনা নন, আসল ফ্যাসিস্ট ড. ইউনূস'
অ্যাডভোকেট মোহসিন রশীদ বলেন, "আমি শেখ হাসিনার সরকারকে অনেক বিরোধিতা করেছি, কিন্তু হাসিনাকে ফ্যাসিস্ট বলতে আর রাজি নই। ড. ইউনূস সাহেবের কাজ দেখার পর এখন আমি মনে করি, ইউনূস ইজ আ বিগার ফ্যাসিস্ট। আসল ফ্যাসিস্ট হলেন ইউনূস।"

শেখ হাসিনাকে ক্ষমতাচ্যুত করার নেপথ্যে গভীর ষড়যন্ত্রের অভিযোগ তুলে এই আইনজীবী বলেন, "শেখ হাসিনার সরকারকে সরানোর ষড়যন্ত্রে ইউনূস সাহেব আংশিক নয়, এক হাজার ভাগ জড়িত।"

তিনি দাবি করেন, জামায়াতে ইসলামীর ইউরোপীয় প্রতিনিধি ব্যারিস্টার আবু বকর মোল্লা স্বীকার করেছেন যে ড. ইউনূস একটি বিদেশি পিআর (পাবলিক রিলেশনস) ফার্ম নিয়োগ করেছিলেন। দেশে অবস্থানরত ছাত্রনেতা ও অন্যান্যরা এই ষড়যন্ত্রের অংশ ছিলেন। তিনি বলেন, "ষড়যন্ত্রকারীরা যখন যোগাযোগ করত, তখন নাহিদকে নাহিদ নামে ডাকা হতো না। তাকে 'এলেন' বা 'নাসিম' ছদ্মনাম দেওয়া হয়েছিল। আসিফ, রিজওয়ানারাও এই ষড়যন্ত্রের সাথে জড়িত ছিল।"

অন্তর্বর্তী সরকার গঠনের সময়কার একটি ঘটনার উল্লেখ করে মোহসিন রশীদ বলেন, "দেশে ফেরার পর এয়ারপোর্টের লাউঞ্জে ইউনূস সাহেবকে উপদেষ্টাদের একটি তালিকা দেওয়া হয়েছিল। তিনি সেখানে বসে সব কেটে দেন এবং ছিঁড়ে ফেলে দেন। তখন তিনি সেনাপ্রধানকে বলেছিলেন, 'দিস উইল নট বি অ্যান আর্মি ব্যাকড গভমেন্ট' (এটি সেনাবাহিনী সমর্থিত সরকার হবে না)।" এই কারণেই সেনাবাহিনীর সাথে ড. ইউনূসের সম্পর্ক খারাপ বলে তিনি মনে করেন।

বর্তমান রাষ্ট্রপতি মো. সাহাবুদ্দিনকে অপসারণের চেষ্টা প্রসঙ্গে তিনি বলেন, "ইউনূস সাহেব রাষ্ট্রপতিকে সরানোর চেষ্টাও করেছেন, কিন্তু পারেন নাই। কারণ রাষ্ট্রপতি যে এখনো টিকে আছেন, এর পেছনে সশস্ত্র বাহিনীর এক হাজার ভাগ সমর্থন রয়েছে। সেনাবাহিনীর ব্যাকিং না থাকলে এরা উনাকে তুলে ফেলে দিত।"

ড. ইউনূসের বর্তমান কার্যক্রমের সমালোচনা করে মোহসিন রশীদ বলেন, "রাষ্ট্রপতি তো কোনো ব্যক্তি নন, এটি একটি বড় প্রতিষ্ঠান। কিন্তু ড. ইউনূস এই প্রতিষ্ঠানটিকে হেয় করেছেন।" তিনি অভিযোগ করেন, রাষ্ট্রপতিকে পাশ কাটিয়ে ড. ইউনূস নিজেই নির্বাহী বিভাগের কাজ করছেন, অধ্যাদেশ জারি করছেন এবং বিচারপতিদের নিয়োগ দিচ্ছেন—যা নিয়মবহির্ভূত।

দ্বাদশ জাতীয় সংসদকে একটি 'বৈধ সরকার' উল্লেখ করে তিনি বলেন, "ছাত্র, সমন্বয়ক থেকে শুরু করে রাজনৈতিক দলগুলো দ্বাদশ পার্লামেন্টকে মেনে নিয়েছিল। সেই বৈধ সরকারের বিরুদ্ধে আন্তর্জাতিকভাবে ষড়যন্ত্র করা হয়েছে।"

আইনজীবী মোহসিন রশীদের এই বিস্ফোরক মন্তব্য ইতোমধ্যে রাজনৈতিক অঙ্গন ও সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমে ব্যাপক আলোচনার জন্ম দিয়েছে।

After one and a half years of suffocating imprisonment and non-cooperation, His Excellency President Md. Sahabuddin has finally revealed the extreme truth before the countrymen. In a thrilling interview given to Kaler Kantho, he has exposed the extreme arbitrariness of the interim government's chief advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, a despicable blueprint for violating the constitution and insulting the office of the president. Even in the face of hundreds of conspiracies and unconstitutional pressure, the head of state has single-handedly protected the constitutional continuity of the country with mountain-like firmness.

Dr. Yunus' violation of the constitution and autocratic behavior
The interview made it clear that Dr. Yunus has behaved extremely unconstitutionally and ungratefully. The constitution clearly states that the head of government shall inform the President after his foreign visit. But Dr. Yunus has not shown the courtesy to inform the President even once at Bangabhaban even though he has gone abroad 14-15 times in the last one and a half years. The head of state has been kept completely in the dark even regarding agreements with important countries like the United States. By issuing 133 ordinances without any coordination, Dr. Yunus has practically manifested his extreme autocratic attitude.

The interim government's vile plot to remove the President
A group was involved in a treasonous plot to remove the President through unconstitutional means from within the interim government itself. An advisor to Dr. Yunus' government had illegally proposed to install a former Chief Justice in the President's chair. But due to the honesty of that judge and constitutional restrictions, that unconstitutional initiative of the government failed miserably.

Blue-print of the siege and looting of Bangabhaban by hired thugs
The President has also revealed the truth behind the anarchy that was created in the name of the siege of Bangabhaban on October 22. Under various banners that sprang up overnight, hired thugs and uprooted people were brought to Bangabhaban and a plan was hatched to loot it like Ganabhaban. After the sound gr***de fell, the thugs staged a drama of falling on the barbed wire and taking pictures to blackmail. Surprisingly, even on that terrible night, Dr. Yunus did not feel the need to search for the President or provide him with security.

The extreme limit of vindictiveness
Dr. The Yunus-led government was so vindictive towards the President that the President's portrait was removed from Bangladesh missions around the world illegally and without any regard for any rules overnight. He was not allowed to represent the country in important international forums like Qatar and Kosovo. His foreign visits were cancelled by writing an unethical letter through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Even the members of the long-standing press wing of Bangabhaban were unfairly withdrawn, a heinous attempt was made to 'disable' the President from the people of the country. This government even stopped the President's message from the National Day supplement.

Himalayan-like support of the President and the armed forces to protect the constitution
President Md. Sahabuddin was steadfast as the Himalayas even in the face of death threats and all kinds of conspiracies to overthrow him. He firmly said in the interview, "My blood will be shed in Bangabhaban. Let the blood be shed. But I will protect the constitutional continuity."

The Bangladesh Armed Forces and BNP fully support this patriotic and courageous position of the President. The chiefs of the three services clearly stated that the fall of the President means the fall of the entire armed forces, which they will prevent at any cost. It is mainly because of this infinite courage of President Md. Sahabuddin, the patriotism of the armed forces and the constitutional politics of BNP that the unconstitutional conspiracy of Dr. Yunus' government has failed and the country has been saved from a terrible constituvindictiveness

Supreme Court Bar Association Election: Barrister Sumon is a candidate for the post of editor while in prison

The Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) elections for the 2026-27 term are going to be held on March 11 and 12. In this election, Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Sumon, a prominent lawyer and former member of parliament, has been nominated as a candidate for the post of editor from the Awami League-backed panel. Although he is currently in prison, his supporters are playing an active role in the campaign.

Barrister Sumon's election campaign is being described as a 'fearless public leader' and is said to be a protesting voice against murder, prison oppression, looting and 'mob justice'. Supporters claim that he has taken up this fight to protect the dignity of the legal arena from the dark cell of the prison in order to establish good governance and ensure justice.

Barrister Sumon's election panel has called on the lawyer voters to respond to all injustices through the ballot on March 11 and 12, calling this struggle of Barrister Sumon an 'uncompromising struggle for all'. The campaign is seeking votes for him using the traditional Awami League slogan 'Joy Bangla'.

It is worth noting that Barrister Sumon was arrested from Dhaka on the midnight of October 21 after the Awami League government fell in a mass uprising by students and the public on August 5, 2024. He is currently in prison in multiple cases, including the incident of being killed in the July-August movement.

This lawyer, who is widely popular on social media, was elected as a member of parliament by a large margin from the Habiganj-4 (Chunarughat-Madhabpur) constituency in the 12th National Parliament election as an independent candidate. Earlier, he also served as the Legal Affairs Secretary of the Awami Jubo League Central Committee and the Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal.

Barrister Sumon's candidacy for the post of editor of the country's highest court bar association while in prison has sparked fresh discussions in the legal and political arena. Now, all eyes are on the upcoming March 11 and 12 elections, where ordinary lawyers will cast their votes through ballots.

After uncomfortable gap of one and a half years, Bangladesh-India relations are moving towards normality again—there are indications in the diplomatic activities of the two countries.

Husband is innocent until he breaks a bone!

​Afghanistan's new 90-page penal code is not a law, but a horrific document that reduces a woman's body to a slave. In 2026, a law has been issued that gives a husband an 'official permit' to beat his wife!

​See the extremely inhumane provisions hidden behind this so-called law:

​1. When the husband is the accuser, judge and executioner:

The most terrifying aspect of this law is that the burden of judging the wife's 'crime' has been directly handed over to the husband. The state has removed the court or the rule of law and made the householder everything. The husband himself is the accuser, the judge and the punisher. Leaving judicial power in the hands of an aggrieved person means strangling justice. This is a legal cover to turn the wife into just the immovable property of the husband.

​2. The 'legality' of beating until the bones are broken:
Under the new rules, a husband can physically torture his wife, as long as no bones are broken. In other words, beatings that leave the bones intact and turn the body blue, causing unbearable pain or slapping are not crimes! The body can be bruised, but only if the bones are broken will it be considered an 'injury'. Is a human body being considered just a lump of meat?

​3. Punishment for crippling is only 15 days in jail:
The horrors do not end here. If a husband breaks his wife's bones through brutal torture, the husband will be sentenced to only 15 days. However, if a woman takes refuge in her father's or brother's house to escape that unbearable torture and does not return to the oppressive husband's house, then the woman and the father and brother who sheltered her will be sentenced to 90 days or 3 months! In other words, fleeing from the hands of the oppressor and defending herself is 6 times more serious than crippling her.

​4. 'Death trap' on the road to justice:
To get justice for torture, one has to go to court and prove the injuries. But according to Afghan law, a 'mahram' or male guardian must accompany her at every step of the way. Now, who should she go with if she has no other man? With that oppressive husband! Will the hunter who injured the deer go to the judge holding the hunter's hand? This is a horrible farce in the name of justice.

​5. Medical treatment is also blocked by the veil:
As a result of closing girls' schools and colleges, there will be no female doctors there in the future. Due to the veil, a woman will not be able to show her body's injuries to a male doctor, and there will be no female doctors either. This means that the criminal husband is getting permanent 'impunity'.

​Many around us are also promoting this darkness as an 'ideal'. Remember, human rights are not a relative matter. The cries of Afghan women that are making the air heavy today are an affront to all humanity. When torture is 'legitimized' in the name of religion or culture, that society is no longer human, it becomes a living hell.
A nation can never progress by stifling the voice of justice. It is the demand of the hour to speak out against this barbarity.

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Golam Chamdani Johnny, former joint general secretary of Chittagong Metropolitan Chhatra League and organizer of the city Jubo League, has distributed Iftar items among the family members of his comrades and fellow fighters imprisoned in false cases. The gifts were delivered on behalf of Awami League President and former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He delivered the food to the families of imprisoned leaders in Chittagong city on Wednesday afternoon.

At this time, Golam Chamdani Johnny said, 'Many of our fellow fighters are spending their days in prison today in false cases as victims of political vendetta. We are standing by them on the instructions of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina so that their families do not suffer during the holy month of Ramadan. It is our moral responsibility to look after the families of the workers in this difficult time.’

He further mentioned that the families of those who are making sacrifices in the party’s difficult times will not be allowed to feel alone. He said that this humanitarian assistance program will continue on behalf of Sheikh Hasina.

The iftar items included rice, pulses, oil, chickpeas, sugar, dates and various dry foods. The family members of the imprisoned leaders and activists expressed their satisfaction after receiving the gifts and expressed gratitude for this initiative.

Former and current leaders and activists of various levels of Chittagong Metropolitan Jubo League and Chhatra League were present at the distribution ceremony. They called on the party leaders and activists to remain united in the current political context and come forward in each other’s danger.
