Your Inner Granny has no interest in making herself smaller.

She’s 80.

She has seen enough life to know that most of the things you’re worrying about right now really don’t matter.

Whether they approve.
Whether it’s too much.
Whether you should wait.
Whether everyone understands.

She wants the big dress.

The bold decision.

The plane ticket.

The ridiculous idea you can’t stop thinking about.

She wants you to make the art, start the thing, say what you mean, love who you love and take up a little more space while you’re here.

I think that’s why I keep coming back to her.

My Inner Granny isn’t really about growing old.

She’s about remembering who I was before I became so concerned with who I was supposed to be.

And lately, I’ve been listening to her a little more.

The Mood Library is where I collect and create these reminders. Images, words, art, interiors and little visual nudges back toward yourself.

Finding your way back to yourself.

I don’t think it happens all at once.

It happens in little recognitions.

The things you suddenly want again.
The places that make you feel more alive.
The ideas that won’t leave you alone.
The people around whom you don’t have to perform.
The art that makes you stop for no obvious reason.

Maybe that’s why I’m so fascinated by what we’re drawn to.

Before we can explain it, something in us already knows.

And perhaps finding your way back to yourself is less about becoming someone new…

and more about learning to recognise yourself again.

In the art.
In the choices.
In the life you’re creating.

Teo months ago, I put most of my life into a small storage unit.

What remained fit into three suitcases.

Three suitcases. Two boys. And no perfectly mapped-out plan.

Since then, life has felt a little like a film.

Paris. Taking my boy up the Eiffel Tower for the first time. Then Lamu. Motorbikes along the beach and tiny dusty roads. Fishing in the morning. Making art between it all.

And from my laptop, helping others uncover the worlds inside their brands, while somehow finding my own way back to myself too.

Next week, returning to Ibiza, where school will start again for the boys. And another unexpected chapter as an artist in residence.

None of this was really the plan.

But maybe some of the boldest decisions don’t take you away from yourself.

They bring you back.

And somehow, while all of this has been happening, this little world has been growing too. Two days ago we celebrated 80K. This morning, 87K. 🤍

I’m so happy you’re here for the art, the places, the ideas, the brand worlds and whatever comes next.

And hopefully, somewhere inside my world, you find little clues that lead you closer to your own.
