I go on about rest & recovery a lot. I know 😅

But it’s genuinely the most overlooked part of looking after your body, ESPECIALLY for people who are already doing the work.

You’re exercising. You’re moving. You’re trying.
And yet something still feels off. Tight. Sore. Sluggish.

Nine times out of ten? It’s not more exercise you need. It’s more recovery.

Massage, stretching, rest, cool downs etc.
I know it’s the boring bit, but it’s also the bit that makes everything else actually stick.

These never get old 🥹

Reading back through client reviews is one of my favourite things to do on a slow morning because it reminds me exactly why I do this.

A client came to me with pain in his back, shoulders and arms.
These are the three exercises I gave him!

**Cat Cow** — brilliant for getting the back moving. Really round your spine on the exhale and you’ll get a lovely stretch through it too.

**Forearm Stretch** — fair warning, this one is *spicy* 🌶️. On all fours, fingers pointing back towards you (as much as you can manage), gently push your hips back towards your heels. If you’re tight, try shifting your weight gently between each hand rather than holding still.

**Scorpion Variation** — lying face down, one arm outstretched, head turned the opposite way. Slowly peel your body towards that outstretched arm. You’ll feel it open up through the front of your chest too. Gorgeous ✨

Save this one for later, your back, shoulders and arms will thank you.

The early-ish night.
