A message from our CEO, Loren Henry ❤️

After 20 incredible years, our co-founder and director, Ali Boksh, is stepping away from his role at Urban Circle Newport.

Ali and Loren grew up together before uniting in 2006 to create Urban Circle, armed with big ideas, plenty of energy and a shared determination to make a difference in their community. What began as a group of friends with a passion for dance and music, and a shared vision for the future, became something far bigger than any of them could have imagined.

Over the years, Shai has brought passion, humour and a generous heart to Urban Circle. He has supported and empowered countless young people across the city, helped navigate challenges, celebrated some amazing achievements and created enough memories to fill several photo albums, and probably a hard drive or two!

Loren said:

“Growing up alongside Shai and then building Urban Circle together has been a special journey. His contribution over the past 20 years has helped shape both the organisation and the lives of many people across our community. I’m proud of everything we have achieved together and grateful for the friendship, laughter and memories we have shared along the way.”

As Shai takes his well-earned final bow from this particular stage, everyone at Urban Circle would like to thank him for two decades of dedication, friendship and service to our city and community.
