From the dawn of time I’ve always used pen & paper to record my colour notes. Dating them so I can refer to the photos taken on the day to also remind use of the desired result both me & the client are looking for.

Try working like a scientist. Have an objective, record your methods & formulas, observe your results & then do it again 👩🏽‍🔬
