ONE Spartan Personal Training

Start of day 1 of competition !!! Meeting the judges and photos...

Road trip complete: departed Herb House Spa at 10:30 and landed at Hoar Cross Hall at 14:45. How much kit and equipment does it take to do a steam and sauna ritual for the Herbal Cup?? The answer is a whole carload. And mine’s a Kia Sportage.

Today was all about logistics in the Join’s Suite. Unpacked the gear and laid out the presentation table—got it to 80% and saving the salts, finished treatments, and fresh kit for first thing in the morning.

Great catching up with Natalie and Deborah, plus meeting a few new sauna masters today. Huge bonus having European Spa Magazine covering the event with an upcoming article.

Staging is almost complete. That’s the end of today—we'll keep you updated tomorrow!

Field Notes: The Harvest Transition

After a successful early morning sauna dome run with Wellness by the Sea, I had to clean down and put away the dome at my old house. Took a look at my old garden, seeing what was in fruit ready for harvest. The olive trees are doing really well this year—offering an olive branch as an ancient symbol of peace—and I'm leaving those in the capable hands of my son.

From there, I went to my happy place to see if I could catch the harvest moon rising. The sunset put on a proper show with great cloud patterns and amazing colors. Unfortunately, the thick cloud as the moon came up obscured it completely. But I sat in the exact place around this time last year where I sat with someone who shared the three meetings theory. I'm wondering if there will ever be a third meeting, if and when the time may be right.

I'll catch the moon in the morning as I'll be up again for work at around 04:30.

Take forward your intentions today and what you want to take into winter, but also be thankful for everything this harvest has brought you.
