Some of you may remember Davi who I posted about a while ago…. I explained the struggles he has had with haircuts, and how we had finally found a routine that works for him which has allowed him to be able to tolerate a simple buzz cut… and so this is what we have stuck with for a while now…. Following the exact same routine every time so that Davi knows exactly what to expect which then helps to reduce his anxiety surrounding haircuts.

But this haircut was different… Davi’s Mum asked if we could maybe try for more of a hairstyle this time rather than just the simple buzz that he has been having…

And so, following the same routine of counting to 3 whilst I cut and then allowing Davi movement breaks to regulate we attempted Davi’s first ‘proper’ hairstyle!!!
Obviously it took a bit longer than a simple buzz cut but Davi did so well and tolerated the extra time it took to create his cut! He even allowed me to tidy up the cut around his ears and his neck which are his super sensitive areas!
He still needed regular movement breaks and the haircut was done allllllll over the kitchen as I followed him around but he did so so well!!
Also… why does he suddenly look like a teenager?!!! 🥹
