✨An Introduction to one important part of My Work: Balancing the Nervous System
✨Hello and welcome! If you are new to my page, or if we haven’t connected in a while, I wanted to introduce myself and share exactly how I support the parents, autistic children and adults I work with…
✨My name is Caroline Seyedi, and my work at Coping with Autism - AS IT IS is focused on helping autistic children and adults and their parents find their voice, physical comfort, emotional grounding, and sensory regulation.🧩
🧐Understanding the "Invisible" Stressor at the root of behaviour we see😵💫
🌈✨Many of the challenges associated with autism—like constant anxiety, challenges with speaking, intense sensory overload, fidgeting, food intolerances, repetitive restricted interests and behaviours or coordination struggles—go much deeper than behavioral patterns that represent them. These behaviours are the results of complex systems of development and are often rooted in retained primitive reflexes.
🌈🤔What are primitive reflexes?
These are automatic infant movements designed for survival that should naturally integrate as we develop and grow.
🧐Retained primitive reflexes in autistic individuals are linked to higher rates of emotional and behavioral challenges, according to research in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders.
🧐Clinical trials, including findings in Cureus, show that structured reflex integration movements significantly improve sensory processing, motor skills, and emotional regulation [1, 2].
🌈🧐💫These findings support the use of Rhythmic Movement Training to calm the nervous system and foster physical, emotional, and social well-being.
🌈🤔How I Can Help You?
My approach is not about trying to "fix" or change autism and other neurodiversity diagnoses. It is about calming an overloaded nervous system so daily life feels safer and easier.
🌈☺️Using Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT), I guide individuals and families through gentle, non-invasive, rhythmic physical movements to support integrating the retained primitive reflexes.
🌈✨These movements work directly with the brain and body to:
📉 Lower chronic anxiety and emotional meltdowns
🧘 Improve sensory processing and physical coordination
💤 Support better sleep, focus, and overall well-being
🗣️support the facilitation of verbal communication.
🌱 Let’s Connect
✨Whether you are a parent searching for gentle ways to support your child, or an adult looking to understand your own body better, you don't have to navigate this alone.
✨To learn more about primitive reflex integration and how we can work together, visit my website or drop me a message right here. I would love to support your journey.

🤯When your nervous system is constantly stuck in a "fight, flight, or freeze" state, daily life can feel incredibly exhausting.
🧠💥Chronic anxiety, sensory overload, jaw clenching, and fragmented sleep are often signs that the body's primitive stress loops are working overtime.
This August, I am hosting a specialized 90-minute online workshop designed to serve as a practical, deeply calming reset button for your body:
🌟 The Living Haykal: Sound, Science, and the Sacred Star 🌟
📍 Live on Zoom (A Completely Sensory-Safe Space)
Hosted by The Listening Field.
During this session, we will explore how specific acoustic frequencies interact with human biology. Using the universal geometric principles of the five-pointed star as a physical map of the body, I will guide you through a gentle, somatic visualization designed to target and release deeply held physical tension.🧍♀️🧘♂️
A note on the experience:
To fully connect with this framework, you will be guided to either stand or lie down flat in the five-pointed star position during the meditation, allowing the sound to align your physical limbs and center your heart.
🎵 A note on the sound: To ensure the highest audio quality over the internet, I will be playing specialized tubular bells. These instruments are tuned to exact mathematical sound frequencies that encourage both brain hemispheres to synchronize, signaling immediate safety directly to your brainstem.
🔒 This is a completely low-demand environment. You are welcome to keep your camera turned off, wear your favorite headphones, and let the acoustic resonance do the heavy lifting from your own home.
Whether you are looking for tools to help navigate autism-related sensory overload, or you simply want to experience a profound state of nervous system relaxation, you are so welcome to join us.
