The days of chasing the darkest brow are gone. 🤎

Brow trends have changed - and I think that’s a good thing.

With PMU especially, softer is often better. A heavily saturated brow can look harsh when fresh, and as the pigment settles and evolves over time, it may not give you the soft, flattering result you were hoping for.

I’d much rather create definition without heaviness - choosing a colour and saturation that works with your features and will continue to look beautiful as it heals.

We don’t chase darker. We chase balance. 🤎

Wanting darker brows doesn’t always mean you need a darker pigment. 🤎

This is something I talk about a lot at top-ups.

Sometimes when a client says, “I want them darker,” what they actually mean is:

✨ I want them to look more defined
✨ I want a little more density
✨ I want them to have more presence

And those things don’t necessarily require a darker pigment.

We can build intensity while keeping the colour that suits your skin, hair and overall colouring, giving you more definition without taking the colour too deep.

Because darker isn’t always better. Sometimes you just need more definition. 🤍

This is such an important one if you’ve never had permanent makeup before.

Fresh brows and lips will usually look stronger immediately after treatment than they will once they’ve healed.

As the skin heals, the colour settles and softens, and you’re left with the result you’ll actually live with day to day.

So please don’t panic on day one 😂🤍

MYTH BUSTING MONDAY ✨

Choosing a PMU pigment isn’t as simple as colour matching to your hair colour.

I consider your natural brow hair, skin tone and undertone, existing pigment if you have any, and how I want the colour to look once it has healed.

That’s why two clients with the same hair colour can need completely different pigment choices.

It’s not about finding a colour that matches your hair perfectly.

It’s about finding a colour that belongs on you. 🤍
