Hello!
It's been a while since I've posted anything at all, I'm definitely still here and in fact busier than ever. When I started this little business I never imagined I would be this busy, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for every single one of you that have visited. Whether you've been with me from the beginning, or those who have just found me. Treating all you lovely lot doesn't leave much time for filling these squares, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

A little update from South Downs Aesthetics.
I’m currently moving over my booking system from Glowday to Aesthetic Nurse Software to help the business run more smoothly and improve your overall booking experience.
During this transition, there may be a few small changes or delays, so please bear with me while everything is being set up behind the scenes.

A little switch-off from clinic life on Wednesday at a fabric printing workshop with Molly Mahon.
Spending the day slowing down, being creative, and focusing on something completely different felt so mindful. Block printing is all about patience, precision and appreciating the small details - something that actually reminds me a lot of aesthetics.
In clinic, great results aren’t about rushing or overdoing things. They come from careful technique, understanding structure, and taking a thoughtful approach to every patient.
Today was a reminder that sometimes stepping away, getting creative, and doing something with your hands is exactly what you need to reset.
Mindful moments, beautiful patterns, and a very happy brain at the end of it. 🌿
People ask if I miss nursing…
The truth is, I’m still nursing. Just in a different setting.
Every day in aesthetics I’m using the same clinical skills that shaped my nursing career: medicine management, prescribing, and documenting to a high standard. My patients’ needs always come first, and every treatment is advised based on what’s genuinely in their best interest.
Behind every appointment there’s also the clinical side people don’t always see — correct medicine storage, understanding anatomy and physiology, drug calculations, handling sharps safely, and disposing of medical waste appropriately.
Aesthetics isn’t separate from nursing for me. It’s simply another way of practising it — safely, ethically, and with patient care at the centre of everything I do.
