☀️ HOT WEATHER UPDATE ☀️

Guys, if you’re thinking of giving the sunbeds a miss over the next few days because of the heat, we completely understand! 🖤

However, we’ve trialled a portable air conditioning unit today and honestly, it has made such a difference! 🌬️✨ It literally felt like a breath of fresh air, and today was much more comfortable and totally bearable in the salon.

Obviously, over the next couple of days the temperatures are forecast to be extreme, so we will assess the situation again tomorrow. Your comfort and safety always come first.

Of course, we’ll keep you all updated if we need to reduce opening hours or make any changes over the next few days.

Laura is a senior midwife based at Nottingham QMC with incredible knowledge and super confident in her work! The results speak for themselves!

As your therapist, I believe in being open about the treatments I personally trust and use. To start, here are some of the anti‑wrinkle treatments I personally use that can subtly refresh and enhance your natural features:

• Bunny lines:
Bunny lines treatment refers to softening the fine lines that appear on the sides of the nose when you smile or scrunch your face. These lines are caused by the levator labii superioris alaeque nasi muscle working a little too strongly.

• Downturned smile:
A downturned smile is often caused by overactivity of the depressor anguli oris (DAO) muscles, which pull the corners of the mouth downward and can create a tired, sad, or tense appearance even when you feel perfectly fine. A tiny amount of anti wrinkle is placed into the DAO muscles to relax the downward pull, allowing the corners of the mouth to sit in a more neutral, naturally lifted position. Results stay soft and expressive.

• Frown lines (11s):
These are the vertical lines that appear between the eyebrows when we concentrate, squint, or frown. They’re caused by repeated movement of the corrugator and procerus muscles. A small amount of anti‑wrinkle treatment is used to gently relax these muscles, softening the lines and preventing them from deepening over time. The aim is to create a smoother, more relaxed appearance while keeping your natural expression intact.

• Forehead lines:
Forehead lines form from repeated movement of the frontalis muscle, which lifts the eyebrows. Over time, these expressions can create horizontal lines that stay visible even when the face is at rest. A small amount of anti‑wrinkle treatment is used to gently relax the muscle, softening the lines while still allowing natural expression. The goal is never to “freeze” the forehead however create a smoother, more refreshed look.

• Dimpled chin:
A dimpled or “orange‑peel” chin is caused by overactivity of the mentalis muscle, which creates uneven texture or puckering when you speak or rest your face. A small amount of anti‑wrinkle treatment can gently relax this muscle, smoothing the skin and creating a softer, more refined appearance.

These treatments are low‑risk, carefully placed, and designed to deliver natural, balanced results, never the overdone or “fake” look. The aim is always to help you feel refreshed, confident, and comfortable in your own skin.
