🐾 6-Year-Old Chihuahua Looking for a Loving Forever Home 🐾
This is a very difficult post for me to write, but due to work commitments and having to travel quite often, I have sadly made the decision to rehome my 6-year-old Chihuahua.

I have had him since he was just 8 months old, and he is a very important part of our family. He is also my daughter’s best friend, so this is an incredibly sad decision for us and one we haven’t taken lightly. ❤️

He is a very loving little boy who is obsessed with cuddles and loves being around his person. He can also be quite vocal and barks a lot, so a home that is comfortable with this would be important.

A few things about him that any potential new owner needs to know:

🐶 He needs to be the only pet in the household. He does not get along with cats or other dogs and can be reactive towards dogs when out walking.

🏡 He is going to the toilet outside, but he does have a tendency to mark around the house. Interestingly, when he stays with my family, he doesn't do this, so it may be related to his familiar environment.

🌧️ He doesn't enjoy long walks and really doesn't like going out in the rain.

🍗 He is a fussy little boy and currently eats Dreamies/cat treats and human food, so his eating habits would need to be understood and managed by his new owner.

❤️ He absolutely loves cuddles and companionship and would ideally suit someone who has plenty of time to spend with him and isn't away from home regularly.

🏠 He will come with all of his belongings, and he is microchipped. All details will be provided so they can be transferred to his new owner.

This isn't a decision we've made because we don't love him — quite the opposite. We love him enormously, but our circumstances mean that we can no longer give him the time and companionship he deserves.

I will not be rushing to rehome him. My priority is finding the right person and the right home for him, rather than simply finding him a new home quickly. I will be asking questions and taking my time to make sure we feel completely comfortable with whoever takes him.

Ideally, I would love him to go to someone who has plenty of free time, is experienced with Chihuahuas or similar small dogs, understands his quirks, and can give him the attention, patience and cuddles he is used to. ❤️
