My student travelled all the way from Boston for a one-to-one braiding session with me. 🤍

She has very long, beautiful hair and knows how to braid her own hair, but she had never braided anyone else before. Her braids were mainly practical — just to keep her hair out of the way at home.

So, in our 2-hour private training, we focused on the basics that make a braid look clean, neat and presentable:

✨ How to hold the hair correctly
✨ How to take clean and even sections
✨ Where to place each strand
✨ How to create the right parting from the scalp
✨ Small tricks that make braiding much easier

And she did so well! 🥰

Of course, practice, practice and more practice is the key to getting confident and creating beautiful, clean braids — but I’m really happy with the progress she made in just two hours.

I absolutely love sharing my knowledge and helping others learn something new. 🧡
