Before BOOD came in jars, part of its story was already being written in Timotheaās recipe book. šš§”
Jonās mum, Timothea, inherited generations of family knowledge from her mum, Graceāthen carried it forward through recipes she collected, adapted and created herself.
Sea moss. Turmeric. Soursop leaves. Herbal teas. Homemade kefir.
Some traditions came from Saint Lucia. Others became part of Timotheaās own journey. Together, they reflect a way of life built around simplicity, consistency and care.
Because this was always more than a recipe book.
It was family history. Knowledge passed on. A whole way of thinkingāand one of the quiet influences behind BOOD.

Did your family have recipes or traditions that were passed down through generations?
anger holds a potent charge, its energy that needs to move, whether thatās needed for self-defence, to action change or implement boundaries.
itās a fear signal, notifying us that something is wrong, we maybe in danger or being violated in some way. we need to know how to hold anger, discern where itās coming from, feel it & move it through our bodies - enabling it to metabolise.
not knowing how to process anger can cause problems - it becomes a destructive force that burns down our own house & keeps us from the things we really want.
anger is no sin, it offers us protection but it can also mask underlying emotions like sadness, grief & shame that we are often too scared to feel. sometimes only once weāve processed the anger are we granted access to those deeper feelings and the next layer of healing can begin.
Jenna spent many years stuck in a self-destructive programme of victimhood & anger, unable to face the pain that lay beneath. it took a mental breakdown for her to get support, start taking accountability & learn how to navigate the full spectrum of the emotional human experience.
what is your experience with anger? do you give yourself permission to be with it or are you addicted to its rush & righteousness?

anger often gets a bad repā¦
when itās out of balance or held onto it can become destructive, dangerous even
but itās also an important signal, it shows us where we may have been violated and provides us with the charge to make changes & stand up for ourselves
when anger isnāt healthily channeled or doesnāt know how to be expressed it can leave us disempowered, victimised, passive aggression - potentially leading to a full breakdown in relationships or sickness
like all emotions anger must be acknowledged & then processed for us to maintain health & balance
whatās your relationship like with anger?

embracing my shadow self
in life we all experience triggers where powerful feelings take us over - fear, anger, shame, self-doubt
Jenna talks here of a recent anxious attachment episode where she was walking down the street & her whole body went into fight or flight overdrive
after 20mins of resisting it she told herself āthis belongs, this wounding is part of me, this is welcome hereā - it immediately started to soften & slowly subside
often issues arise not so much because of our triggers but our judgment & aversion around them
but what if we learnt to meet ourselves in these difficult moments with openness, curiosity & most importantly compassion?
honouring our flaws, our pain, our imperfections which ultimately make us the unique, incredible humans we are
how do you meet yourself when challenging emotions come up?

With the new football season now underway, thereās one partnership weāre particularly proud to see taking centre stage ā½ļø
When Arsenal announced Saint Lucia as its Official Destination Partner, it felt like more than another sporting collaboration.
For us at BOOD, it was a moment of real pride.
Saint Lucia is part of our heritage and an important part of the story behind our brand. Seeing the island celebrated on one of footballās biggest global stages is a powerful reminder of how far Caribbean culture, identity and influence continue to reach.
Beginning with the 2026/27 season, the partnership will showcase Saint Lucia at Emirates Stadium, across Arsenalās menās and womenās matches, and to millions of supporters around the world.
But itās about more than tourism. Itās also about visibility, opportunity and inspiring the next generation.
Built in the UK. Rooted in Saint Lucia. š

A little throwback to three years ago, when we sat down with for their x collaboration to talk about BOOD, building a business and the journey behind the brand. š
So much has changed since then, but the reason we started remains exactly the same.
A lovely reminder of how far weāve comeāand how much more there is still to build. š
