📖 BEFORE YOU BUY… | Issue 01

Before you buy your next skincare product… pause.

The skincare industry makes it easy to believe that the next viral product will transform your skin.

But healthy skin isn’t built by following trends.

It’s built by understanding your skin.

That’s why I created this series.

At RIALISE, my goal isn’t to tell you what to buy—it’s to help you understand why you’re buying it.

When you understand your skin type, your concerns, and the ingredients that actually support them, you stop wasting money on products that were never right for you in the first place.

Knowledge will always be your best skincare investment.

🤍 Swipe through to discover the three questions you should ask before buying your next skincare product.

💬 I’d love to know…

What’s one skincare product you bought because it was viral, but didn’t work for you?

👇 Tell me in the comments.

Save this post so you’ve got it the next time you’re tempted by the latest skincare trend.

Educate. Empower. RIALISE.

The skincare industry moves fast.

Every week there’s a new “must-have” product, a new viral ingredient, or another trend promising perfect skin.

But healthy skin isn’t built by chasing trends.

It’s built by understanding your skin.

At RIALISE, every recommendation has a purpose.

Not because it’s popular.

Not because everyone else is using it.

But because it’s the right choice for your skin.

That’s the RIALISE Way.

Healthy Skin. Natural Confidence. 🤍

You could be using amazing skincare products… but in the wrong order. 👀

A good skincare routine isn’t about owning the most products. It’s about understanding why each step matters, where it fits, and what purpose it serves.

In today’s Skin School lesson, you’ll learn:

✨ Why the order of your skincare matters.

✨ The difference between your morning and evening routine.

✨ Common mistakes that could be stopping your products from working effectively.

✨ How to make smarter skincare choices before buying another product.

Healthy skin isn’t built by following every trend.

It’s built by understanding your skin, choosing products with purpose, and staying consistent.

📌 Save this post so you can come back to it whenever you’re building or reviewing your skincare routine.

💬 Which tip surprised you the most?

Everyone recommends Salicylic Acid… but do you actually know what it does? 🧪

Salicylic Acid is one of the most talked-about skincare ingredients, especially if you have oily skin, blackheads or breakouts.

But understanding why it works is just as important as knowing when to use it.

In today’s Ingredient Files, I’ve broken down the science into simple, easy-to-understand steps, so you can make informed decisions about your skincare instead of following trends.

Because healthy skin starts with understanding your skin.

💾 Save this Ingredient File so you can come back to it whenever you need a refresher.

💬 Which skincare ingredient would you like to understand next? Let me know in the comments. 👇

Oily skin and blackheads… are they actually the same thing? 🤔

It’s one of the most common questions I get asked, and the answer surprises a lot of people.

The truth is… they’re related, but they’re not the same thing.

Blackheads form when excess oil (sebum), dead skin cells and debris become trapped inside a pore. When that blockage is exposed to air, it oxidises, which is what causes the dark appearance.

✨ They’re not dirt.
✨ They’re not caused by poor hygiene.

Understanding why blackheads form is the first step to treating them properly.

In today’s Ask Ria, I’m explaining:
• What blackheads actually are.
• Why they form.
• What you can do at home.
• When professional treatments may be the next step.

At RIALISE, I believe education should always come before treatment. The more you understand your skin, the better decisions you’ll make for it.

💬 Now it’s your turn…

What skincare question would you like me to answer next Friday?

Leave it in the comments your question could be featured in the next Ask Ria.

✨ Tomorrow’s Ingredient Files: We’re exploring another ingredient that can support oily, congested skin. See you tomorrow.

I used to think the next product would finally be the one that changed my skin… 🤍

For a long time, I believed healthier skin was only one more product away.

One more serum.

One more cream.

One more trend.

Looking back, I wasn’t really learning about my skin—I was chasing a quick fix.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that healthy skin isn’t built by buying more. It’s built by understanding your skin, choosing ingredients with purpose and being consistent.

That’s why I created Keeping it REAL with Ria.

Not because I’ve always had the answers, but because I’ve made the mistakes first. If sharing what I’ve learned helps someone else feel less overwhelmed, then every lesson has been worth it.

✨ If there’s one thing I hope you take away from today’s chapter, it’s this:

You don’t need perfect skin. You need understanding, consistency and confidence.

💬 I’d love to hear from you…

What’s one skincare lesson you wish you’d learned sooner?

👇 Share it in the comments—I read every single one.

📖 Tomorrow’s chapter: We’re busting one of the biggest skincare myths I hear all the time… and it might just change the way you think about your skincare routine.

The best thing I can give you isn’t a treatment.

It’s the confidence to understand your own skin.

That might sound unusual coming from an aesthetic practitioner, but before I ever recommend a treatment, I want you to understand why.

Why your skin behaves the way it does.

Why trends don’t suit everyone.

Why healthy skin will always be the foundation of great results.

That’s what RIALISE is built on.

Not pressure.

Not perfection.

Just honest education, so you can make confident decisions about your own skin.

Because when you understand your skin, you stop chasing every new trend… and start trusting yourself.

🤍 I’d love to know…

What’s one skincare question you’ve always wanted to ask but never have?

Tell me below. It might become a future chapter.

🎓 Skin School Monday | Lesson 02

Last week, we introduced Skin School Monday a space where we simplify skincare science and help you understand why your skin behaves the way it does.

Today, we’re starting with one of the most important foundations of healthy skin…

Your skin barrier.

Your skin barrier is your body’s natural protective shield. It works around the clock to defend against pollution, bacteria and environmental stress, while helping to lock in the hydration your skin needs to stay healthy.

When your skin barrier is strong, your skin is more resilient, balanced and better able to tolerate active ingredients.

When it’s compromised, you may notice:
• Dryness
• Sensitivity
• Redness
• Tightness
• Breakouts
• Products that suddenly sting or don’t seem to work as well

Before chasing glowing skin, reducing pigmentation or tackling the signs of ageing, it’s important to build a healthy foundation.

At Rialise, I believe healthy skin always comes first because healthy skin creates the best results.

📚 Lesson Takeaway

Healthy skin starts with a healthy skin barrier.

💬 What skincare topic would you like me to explain in a future Skin School Monday? I’d love to hear your ideas.

🌿 Sunday Skincare Reset

Healthy skin isn’t built in a day.

It’s built through the little promises you keep to yourself.

Tonight wasn’t about chasing perfection.
It wasn’t about flawless skin.
It was simply about slowing down, taking a few minutes for myself, and ending the week with a routine that makes me feel good.

Consistency will always beat perfection.

So before another busy week begins, this is your reminder to pause, reset, and show your skin a little kindness.

What’s one thing you’re doing today to reset for the week ahead? 🤍
