Poem - Through the Storms of Life

In the depths of night, when shadows creep,
Life's burdens weigh heavy, and the heart aches deep.
A whisper of despair, a cry in the dark,
Yet within the silence, ignites a spark.

In moments of stillness, when the world feels unkind,
We wrestle with demons that invade the mind.
The echoes of failures, the weight of regret,
Each heartbeat a reminder of the paths we can’t forget.

Life's hardest experiences, a relentless tide,
Each wave crashing down, where hope tries to hide.
Like a stormy sea that churns and roars,
The soul feels battered, as it searches for shores.

The loss of a loved one, the end of a dream,
The weight of expectations, or so it may seem.
These trials can blind us, make us lose sight,
Of the flicker of hope in the depths of the night.

Yet, dawn breaks softly, painting the skies,
With hues of resilience, where strength often lies.
In the morning light, a flicker of flame,
A reminder that life is a fierce, wild game.

Each sunrise a promise, a chance to begin,
To rise from the ashes, to let the light in.
Through tears that have fallen, through laughter and pain,
The heart finds its rhythm, even dances in rain.

Challenges return, like seasons in flight,
Dressed in new garments, obscured from our sight.
They dance in the shadows, they wear different masks,
Yet the heart learns to rise, to meet daunting tasks.

For every heartbreak that shatters our core,
There’s a lesson embedded, a chance to explore.
In the depths of our struggles, we find hidden grace,
A strength so profound, we learn to embrace.

With every setback, a lesson unfolds,
In the fabric of struggle, true courage is sewn.
For even when weary, and feeling alone,
The heart, though it falters, finds strength of its own.

Through the valleys of sorrow, through mountains of pain,
The spirit grows stronger, like flowers in rain.
Each petal that opens, each thorn that we bear,
Becomes part of our journey, a story to share.

Perseverance, a warrior, stands tall and proud,
In the face of the tempest, it shouts, “I am loud!”
With hands that have trembled, and voices that shook,
We write our own chapters, we rewrite the book.

For it's in our trials that we truly find,
The depths of our courage, the strength of our mind.
So let the storms come, let the shadows descend,
For within the heart's chamber, we will always mend.

In the tapestry of life, each thread weaves a tale,
Of battles fought bravely, of hearts that prevail.
So when the night lingers, and hope seems to wane,
Remember, dear soul, you can dance in the rain.

With each dawn that rises, with each breath you take,
You’re a testament of strength, a force none can break.
So stand firm in the storm, let your spirit ignite,
For you are the warrior who fights through the night.

Reflect on your journey, the paths you have crossed,
The bridges you’ve built, the battles you’ve lost.
For every scar earned, each tear that you’ve shed,
Is a badge of survival, a map of the led.

Embrace all the pain, let it teach you to soar,
For the heart that is tested, learns to love more.
So rise, dear fighter, let your heart be your guide,
Through the storms of life, let your spirit abide.

In the end, it’s the journey that shapes who we are,
The light in our darkness, our guiding star.
So when life feels heavy, and shadows draw near,
Remember, you’re stronger than your deepest fear.

I saw this on facebook, and I wondered how people of Uganda government can take this kind of torture as a joke. Even the message from Hon.Frank Metairie , ( if it is from his true account), it is so shocking. I guess that is the Minister for Agriculture in Uganda. He should be condemning such brutality to fellow citizens, but it seems, it is okay for him as long as it is done by CDF.

We should not be blinded by power. Humanity should be practiced in our daily life. One day it is another person, from another tribe, but how about tomorrow? Is this what you would like to see continued to others. Because, at any other time the power will end up into others hands, am not sure when how, but it might happen even if it is another Munyankore who do not favour you HonFrank Mwesigye or others celebrating this kind of torture, and you end up the one who are being treated in similar manner. How will you cry for help?…. Let us pray for our Mother Uganda that, we find places in our hearts to forgive people who have turned into animals because of power……., it is heartbreaking.

When Nelson Mandela was studying law at the University, a white professor, whose last name was Peters, disliked him intensely. One day, Mr. Peters was having lunch at the dining room when Mandela came along with his tray & sat next to the professor. The professor said, "Mr Mandela, you do not understand, a pig & a bird do not sit together to eat" Mandela looked at him as a parent would a rude child & calmly replied, *"You do not worry professor. I'll fly away,"* & he went & sat at another table. Mr. Peters, reddened with rage, decided to take revenge. The next day in class he posed the following question: "Mr. Mandela, if you were walking down the street & found a package, & within was a bag of wisdom & another bag with money, which one would you take ?" Without hesitating, Mandela responded, "The one with the money, of course." Mr. Peters , smiling sarcastically said, "I, in your place, would have taken the wisdom."
Nelson Mandela shrugged & responded, *"Each one takes what he doesn't have."*
Mr. Peters, by this time was about to throw a fit, seething with fury. So great was his anger that he wrote on Nelson Mandela's exam sheet the word *"IDIOT"*
& gave it to the future struggle icon.
Mandela took the exam sheet & sat down at his desk trying very hard to remain calm while he contemplated his next move.
A few minutes later, Nelson Mandela got up, walked up to the professor & told him in a dignified polite tone,
"Mr. Peters, *you signed your name on the sheet*, but you forgot to give me my grade."
