✨ Detailed but gentle nail and cuticle prep ensuring long lasting results while promoting natural nail health

✨ Always debulk around 90% of product for infills to assess your natural nail health and produce a thin but beautiful structure each and every time - no bulky nails here ❌

✨ Close application of your chosen gel tucking it under your proximal nail fold to create a seamless blend that still looks fresh after 2 weeks

✨ Finishing touches of your choice whether that be a plain colour, french, crazy nail art - or just a glossy top coat

I thought it’d be interesting to share some of my recent appointments, along with the time each one took and what the client paid. It’s a little look behind the scenes of what goes into creating healthy, long-lasting nails.

No appointment is the same. Everyone has unique cuticle and skin types, different nail conditions, and different goals. Rather than rushing through every appointment in the same amount of time, I tailor each service to what your nails need on the day. That’s why some appointments naturally take longer than others.

This is why you should never pick your nails off… 👀➡️

These nails came to me after a previous set from another nail tech had been picked off, taking layers of the natural nail with it.

When gel is peeled away, it doesn’t just remove the product – it often removes the top layers of your natural nail too. That’s why the nails looked thin, flaky and damaged before we even started.

✨ My priority wasn’t making them perfect in one appointment. It was protecting what was left to ensure healthy nail growth.

I kept my prep as gentle as possible and avoided unnecessary filing on an already weakened nail plate. The aim is to prevent overfiling to preserve the natural nail so it has the best chance to recover.

We finished with a structured builder gel overlay to add strength and protection while the damaged areas grow out naturally - and added some cute white polka dots too 🩰

Remember:
❌ Picking off your gel takes layers off your natural nail plate
❌ It can make your next set not last as long

Healthy nails are built over time, not in one appointment. And as a nail tech, I’d much rather work with a damaged nail gently than over-file it trying to make it look “perfect.”
