This past day or so the huge positive support for Macklemore has given me a bit more hope when I thought it was all gone 💚 and once the toothpaste is out the tube, good luck putting it back in 😘

Silence is complicity. Neutrality is complicity. We have SO much power they want you to forget about.

Perfectionism can be TERRIBLE at it’s job 🙃

As a Neurodivergent artist & therapist, I told myself I should have known better… I had one event this whole year! I’ve always been a perfectionist, and I thought this time I was saving myself from procrastination and time blindness. But all that planning was instead of doing the actual bits that mattered.

I’m just a sucker for overthinking every detail and trying to do the work of a million people 🙃

And surprise surprise… all that mental energy didn't make a single thing go smoother!

Forgot to mention as well that I’d had 2 hours sleep, and I also have no burp syndrome so had these horrible overstimulating throat gargles ALL DAY.

I don't want this coping strategy to last forever, I’m very aware it doesn’t always serve me. But at the same time, I respect it for trying to protect me. I know it wants me to have more of my life back later, and I'm not pretending it's fine when it isn't.

If you can relate, see this as me telling you you're allowed to need it for now… as long as you stay honest that it's temporary 💚
