NCLEX QUESTION FOR THE DAY.
NCLEX-Style Priority Question. Read carefully and choose your answer. No guessing, just think like a nurse: What’s the priority? What’s the safest answer?

We’ll be posting the correct answer, and rationale in the comments. Save this so you can come back and check if you got it right.

I STRUGGLED WITH MATERNAL & CHILD HEALTH IN NURSING SCHOOL… THEN I ENDED UP TEACHING IT.
If you had told me this while I was a nursing student, I probably would have laughed.
Maternal and Child Health was one of those lectures that just didn’t click for me. I struggled to understand it, and there were moments I genuinely wondered, “Why is this so difficult for me?” I remember my lecturer then who always pick on me when I ask questions in class. He also avoided my questions.
But because I was struggling, I had to study harder.
I read more. I went back to topics again and again. I asked questions. I refused to give up until things started making sense.
And guess what?
After graduation, I became an Assistant Clinical Educator and I was teaching students some of the same Maternal and Child Health topics I once struggled to understand. 🥹
Life has a funny way of bringing you full circle.
So, to the nursing student struggling with a particular subject right now:
Please don’t use your struggle to determine your ability.
Sometimes, the subject that challenges you the most becomes the one you understand deeply because you had to fight harder to learn it.
Today, I can confidently teach what once intimidated me.
Your struggle today may be preparing you for the person you’ll become tomorrow. ❤️

NCLEX KEY POINT for breastfeeding:
Breastfeeding → Oxytocin release → Uterine contractions → Promotes involution & reduces postpartum bleeding.
So when a new mum says, “Why does my tummy cramp whenever my baby breastfeeds?” — there’s physiology behind it! ❤️
