You may have spotted the little Robin that appears in both of my business logos — and no, it’s not a coincidence. The Robin is a quiet part of my brand, but a huge part of my story.

When I was young, I used to sit with my Dad for hours, sharing all my “one day” dreams of owning a business. He was self‑employed himself, so he understood that spark in me. He listened, encouraged, challenged me, and believed in every idea I had. When I opened my first salon in Southsea, he was so proud — and when I later sold it to become a Mum, he understood that too.

When I began dreaming up The Wellness Barn, he wasn’t here to talk it all through with me. I missed those chats more than I can say. But something beautiful happened: I kept seeing Robins. Everywhere. On one dog walk I counted eight. I’d chat to them, telling them my ideas, almost as if Dad was still listening.

So when my talented nephew‑in‑law designed my logo, I knew instantly that a Robin had to be part of it. A nod to my Dad. A reminder that he’s still with me, every step of the way.

And now, that little Robin sits proudly on everything I create — a symbol of love, encouragement, and the belief that dreams really do grow when someone nurtures them.
