Well, I’ve been doing my makeup completely wrong and had absolutely no idea! 🤦♀️😂
Have you ever applied your foundation only to watch it instantly separate, go cakey, or literally slide off your face?
I was struggling with this big time, and it turns out my products were literally fighting each other.
🥊 The Clash:
My Primer: Sunkissed Flawless Grip (Water-based)
My Foundation: Il Makiage "Woke Up Like This" (Silicone-based)
Because silicone and water don't mix, putting them together meant they just repelled each other on my skin. No wonder it looked so textured!
✨ The Fix:
I swapped the Il Makiage for Charlotte Tilbury’s Beautiful Skin Foundation (which is water-based).
Because the bases actually match, they locked together perfectly. No separating, no pilling, just a smooth, seamless finish.
💡 The Golden Rule:
Save your face (and your cash!) by checking the backs of your bottles:
