The biggest congratulations to our very own Shanai, who has officially qualified her Level 3 and from the 1st July will be going self-employed! 🎉

We’ve worked together for 3 years now and honestly, she’s the best work bestie I could have ever asked for. It feels a bit sad that apprentice life is officially over, but I couldn’t be prouder or more excited for this next chapter.

Being the first ever self-employed Gallagher is a pretty big landmark! ❤️

She is genuinely one of the most talented hairdressers I’ve ever met. She should not be this good at her age… she was absolutely born to do hair.

Shanai, I bloody love you! Here’s to many more years of laughter, chaos and complete stupidity working side by side. I can’t wait to see everything you achieve. 🥂

A little update from me ❤️

I know my hours seem to have changed quite a lot recently, but after 27 years of hairdressing I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about what I want my life to look like going forward.

The truth is, there’s not really anything else I want out of life these days other than a little more time at home with Tony, the dogs, the chickens and all the chaos that comes with them 🐶🐔❤️

I absolutely love my job and I’m beyond grateful that after all these years I’m still as busy as ever, but I’ve realised I don’t want to spend every spare hour at work anymore. I want to enjoy my home life too.

So I’ve finally decided on the hours that work best for me, and these will be my regular hours going forward.

Any appointments already booked will, of course, still stand.

If you need a later appointment, Shanai Gallagher Hair is available on Thursday and Friday evenings and is absolutely incredible. As she’s moving towards self-employment, she’s much more flexible with late appointments and will be happy to help if my new hours don’t work for you.

Thank you all for your continued support, loyalty and understanding. You lot have kept me doing the job I love for 27 years, and I appreciate every single one of you ❤️

☀️ SUMMER IS COMING… AND SO ARE THE HAIR EXTENSION HOLIDAYS! ☀️

A little reminder to all my extension girls to look after those lovely locks over the summer months!

🌴 Tie your hair up before swimming
💦 Rinse immediately after pools, hot tubs or the sea
🧴 Use a good leave-in conditioner and heat protection
☀️ Protect your hair from UV exposure where possible
🪮 Brush regularly, especially at the nape of the neck
💤 Tie hair in a loose braid before bed

Sun, sea, chlorine and cocktails are great for the soul… but not always for your extensions! 😂

A little extra care now will keep your hair looking beautiful, silky and tangle-free all summer long. ❤️

Just a little salon chaos update 🤣✂️

You lot are keeping us BUSYYYYY at the moment and we honestly appreciate it so much ❤️

But between me reducing my hours and it only being me and Shanai in the salon (who is also fully in her busy girl era 💅🤣), we are really struggling to squeeze people in last minute now!

I’m currently fully booked for June 😵‍💫 but Shanai does still have some availability left!
