Pooh sticks the Farm way!

No combining today! Still waiting for fields to be ready. So looking ahead to winter and making sure water can run smoothly in our drainage d***s. Clearing out tunnel ends.. very very satisfying seeing what comes out with the tyre ! 🛞

🌾 One of our favourite days of the year arrived yesterday... 🚜

Harvest and a full day combining officially started at Windmill Farm.

For the next couple of weeks, Simon will be spending most of his days (and often evenings!) in the combine whenever the weather allows.

We'd also like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful family and friends who help us keep everything running smoothly at the caravan park while Simon is out harvesting. We genuinely couldn't do it without them.

To all of our lovely guests, you may notice we're not quite as visible around the site as usual over the next few weeks, but please don't worry – we're always just a phone call away if you need anything at all.

If you're staying with us during harvest, we hope you enjoy seeing a little of farm life in action. Being a working farm is such a big part of Windmill Farm, and we're proud to be able to share this special time of year with you.

Can you spot the 44th?

Like thousands of others after watching Clarkson's Farm, we downloaded the Merlin Bird ID app to discover what wildlife was living around our farm.

We expected to find about 20 different birds…

Instead, we've now recorded 43 different species around the caravan park and farm. Some of our favorites include the beautiful European Turtle Dove and the elusive Eurasian Treecreeper - both considered uncommon sightings in this part of Lincolnshire and something we're incredibly proud to have recorded here.
