Choosing a therapist is more than ticking the boxes of qualifications and registrations.
Yes, both of them are very important. So make sure your therapist isn't just winging it!
It’s choosing the person who will sit with your stories, your silences, your becoming.

The fit matters.
The modality.
The energy.
The way your nervous system settles in their presence.

My clients tell me they feel held when I answer like a real human.
When I share a little of myself with permission, not performance.

When humour, warmth, and the occasional dark joke weave into the work instead of every moment being turned into a therapeutic excavation.

This is the kind of space you get with me:
grounded,
relational,
and gently lit with laughter.
Sometimes, a lot of laughter because therapy is dark, deep and hard. And sometimes that laugh is much needed.

Needed, because sometimes my clients are battling loneliness, are living alone, coming to me due to trauma that cuts so deep that they feel there's no joy for them to feel, or due to responsibilities from an early age they've been taking life so seriously...so much more.

So if you're nervous about starting, not sure where to begin, you can always book a 30-minute consultation with me and see if we vibe.

A year where I didn’t crave a holiday… and why

I realised recently that I haven’t pined for a holiday away this year. At first, I assumed it was purely about finances, and yes, that’s a thread in the tapestry, but it isn’t the whole story.
Due to the nature of my work as a trauma specialist, I usually feel the need to escape away from the UK, albeit for a couple of days to renew my energy, recalibrate, and for some intentional selfcare.

On reflection, something far more beautiful has been happening. I’ve built a business that fits the contours of my actual life. A business that lets me be present for my daughter through pregnancy and postpartum, spend spacious time with my son, and play full‑on PA for one of my bestie’s sons’ wedding- a whole week of singing, dancing, outfits, joy, and laughter.

I’ve poured love into transforming my back room into a full treatment space- deeply therapeutic & exciting.

Woven through all of this has been the magic of . Filling my diary and my cup in equal measure.

Take today- wild‑flower picking (turns out it was bug hunting) with my BizBestie Corinna .

There was the Saltburn adventures with some incredible women Joanne , Angela & Pilar
to name butt a few, while Kate captured moments.

Elevate with .liveweddingartist and so many more wonderful women.

Thermomix events with , .apparel , and .

A lunch date with Helen .

Group content creation with and using her iconic bike as a prop and inspiration.
And quite honestly, so much more with so many more incredible women

My cup hasn’t just been full, it’s been overflowing.

And when your everyday life is this rich, this connected, this joyful… you don’t find yourself desperately needing a break away. Alhamdulillah 😊

Tell me…How are you filling your cup?

What joyful things are sitting in your diary that you’re looking forward to?

Two young Bradford men hailed as heroes after helping elderly couple escape fire Two young Bradford men have been hailed as heroes after they rescued an elderly couple and their grandchild from a fire.

I've been flying under the radar lately, juggling my Glam-Ma duties! It's been quite the blessing, considering I initially dove into Mizan just to help my daughter with her painful periods. She was later diagnosed with PCOS, then PMOS, and was told conceiving would be tough. Enter Mizan! With massages, self-care, and a few diet tweaks, two months later, bam—a positive pregnancy test! This month, we joyfully welcomed baby number 3.

She's focused on bonding and feeding the baby while I've been whipping up nourishing meals and caring for my two older grandkids. I definitely didn't do it alone—it takes a village! My sister-in-laws and sister have been cooking up nutritious dishes essential for postpartum recovery. We've been blessed with this knowledge handed down from our ancestors. It’s crucial in these first few weeks to build a mother's strength and milk supply.

This time is all about emotional, mental, and physical support. Her husband has been amazing, ensuring she starts her day with a healthy, filling breakfast. He totally gets the significance of these postpartum weeks.

Here's a list of some of the things she's had (maybe a separate reel/ post to go into greater detail & recipes):

Halyon (aserio) seeds in milk
Fennel & almond curry
Chicken & veg noodle soup
Turmeric latte
Bone broth
Brown chicken pea curry
Boost tea
Halwa
